Mika stood in front of the door. He wanted to bring himself to knock on the wood, but a knot in his stomach was preventing him in doing so. He was never nervous before, the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach was completely foreign to him. He, somehow, ended up being invited back to Yuu's hotel room, granted that the rest of his bandmates were present, that is.
He lifted his hand for the fifth time, the door opening before he could even attempt a knock. Mika looked ahead of him, expecting to see Yuu, instead only to look down and be met with a short, lavender haired girl, staring up at him with beady eyes.
"Hello..?" He said, it coming out as more of a question rather than a greeting. It's safe to say that he was confused, questioning himself that he got the room number wrong.
"I'm sorry." He began, before being grabbed by the wrist and pulled into the room against his will. It seemed as though he'd been dragged places a lot more than usual recently. He stumbled across the carpet, looking around only to be extremely disorientated.
"Do I-"
"Yuu will be out in a minute," she cleared up, smiling, handing him an already poured glass of water "Don't worry I'm not alien who's abducted you. You can be assured that this is a probing free zone..." She trailed off, thinking momentarily to herself until a knowing look spread across her face, "I mean unless you and Yuu plan to-"
Mika choked out his water, wiping the residue off his chin. He watched her with eyes he felt were going to pop out of their sockets. She merely giggled in response.
It was only know that Mika could take in the interior of the room. It was large and bright. The furniture sticking precisely to a black and white modern theme, one that would remind people of hospitals if anything. He blinked, the brightness of the room almost hurting his eyes.
"Well you didn't deny it." She pointed out, leaning against the counter, winking at him before returning to her innocent smile.
"I-"
"No buts!" She interrupted him, about to press her finger to his lips to make sure he didn't speak another word. He closed his mouth once again, frowning with defeat.
It was then when Yuu came pondering out the bathroom, his hair wet and flat on his face, a towel thrown loosely over his shoulder. He was shirtless, his bare chest damp and glowing.
Mika gulped.
What kind of test is this God? he thought to himself, silently praying to the higher power he wasn't even sure he believed in at all.
"Oh Mika!" Yuu somewhat squealed, his face looking like a stunned chipmunk. He fumbled for his towel, throwing it over his chest in an awkward fashion.
Flustered Mika wasn't himself, he prayed inwardly that he could regain some confidence and maybe some feeling in his legs while he was at it, he was usually so good at hiding his feelings.
"H-hi Yuu-Chan." Mika and Yuu's eyes shot open in sync, both we equal alarm at how Mika decided to address Yuu. Shinoa just watched, her hands behind her back, swaying happily as she watch the events play out with content.
"Oh right yes!" Yuu laughed weakly, desperately trying to change the heavy atmosphere, "I invited you over to talk with the band!"
Yuu rubbed his wet hair with the towel as Mika tried to avert his eyes from his flexing muscles. Yuu picked up a t-shirt that was sprawled across the couch, then proceeded to put it on. Mika didn't know how to feel about this, he felt both thankful and disappointed. Shinoa rolled her eyes, "It's hopeless. Hopeless!"
There was a knock on the door before anyone could question Shinoa's random outburst of words. The door swung open, a cute blonde haired girl with pigtails waltz in, a timid brown haired boy and pink haired boy followed shortly behind her.
"These are the rest of my bandmates," Yuu announced, directing Mika's gaze towards them by swaying his arm, "Mitsuba. Yoichi. Kimizuki."
Mika offered them a warm smile, "it's great to meet you."
"Yes," Kimizuki chimed in, "I was looking forward to meeting the one who crashed our largest show-"
"Kimizuki!" Yoichi cut him off, hitting his bandmate on the arm lightly, so lightly that Mika was surprised Kimizuki even noticed. He was taken back, not expecting his actions to be received so sourly. Mika knew himself that he meant no harm, simply wanting to enjoy the show like every other citizen, clearly this glasses guy didn't feel mutual emotions.
"Idiot! You don't say that to-"
"It's fine," Mika said calmly, stopping Yuu from getting what he thought, was unnecessarily aggressive. He wasn't found of Kimizuki so far either, but he didn't want to cause tension between bandmates, he knew himself how poorly that could end he especially didn't want to be the cause of it...again...
"It's my fault for not being more careful," Mika said through gritted teeth, "I was naïve. My sincerest apologies."
Kimizuki scoffed, permitting himself to a seat on the couch. Mika had a feeling this wasn't what he was usually like, he knew had the potential to be kind, or this band wouldn't have lasted as long as it has. He sensed that he was trying to threaten Mika indirectly, but it was going to work.
"Don't waste politeness on Kimizuki," Mitsuba added, "It's a complete waste of your time."
Yuu groaned in frustration, running his hands through his wet hair. He was fed up with his bandmates. All he wanted was to get another opportunity to speak with Mika and they were blowing it. Who in the right mind would want to speak to us again after being treated like this?
"I invited him over to speak about music and stuff with you guys," Yuu managed to say calmly and collectively, "Please act like normal people for like, an hour?"
His tone was pleading as was the desperate look in his eyes. Mika chuckled to himself, finding the situation rather amusing.
"It's fine." Mika said with a smile on his face, which came as a shock to everyone. It seemed as thought not many people can handle the bands combined personalities all at once. Mika displayed a sign of patience, which wasn't a really a quality he possessed, but he didn't mind if they assumed he did. He sat himself down on a wooden chair beside the kitchen table, propping his head on his hands, watching with interest for someone to begin a conversation.
"So the whole reason you're here. To talk about the music industry and whatnot," Mitsuba began, "What sort of music to do play?"
Mika thought about it for a second, he wasn't sure how he would label it.
"Uhm I don't know if it even has a genre...but I sing solo. I used to be in a band but...that didn't last for too long." Mika explained, trying to rack up words from his brain.
"Why?" said Yoichi, his eyes fully of worry and concern, "what happened?"
"I hated them all," Mika stated bluntly, "They didn't like me either. They weren't nice people. They only cared about money and gaining fame."
"And you don't?" Kimizuki asked, arching an eyebrow.
"No," Mika said, thinking fondly of his fans, "I don't."

The music talked didn't last very long, the conversation became a bore and they all agreed to watch a movie. Yuu didn't really have interest in paying attention to what was being displayed on screen. It was a romantic comedy, which was something he never took a liking too, plus, he was too tired to even care. He was slumped at the edge of the couch, Mika to his right. His head was hanging off the side, his mouth open in a silent snore. He looked ridiculous, as everyone in the room would glance at him at times, laughing to themselves, yet no one had the decency to wake him up.
"How long do we plan to leave him like that?" Mika whispered, pointing to Yuu's collapsed body.
"I don't know, maybe 'til all the blood rushes to his head." Shinoa shrugged, not averting her eyes from the screen.
"I think he already reached that point," Mika pointed to his red face, "Like and hour ago."
"Wake him up so then," Shinoa spoke, "I don't want to do it, he gets very grouchy towards people who wake up him. That's why we have rock paper scissor battles on the tour bus to decide who does it."
Mika laughed, the behaviour seemed very like Yuu-chan. The mentioning of a tour brought Mika back to his senses.
"Oh yeah you're touring," he reminded himself, "How long are you in New York for?"
"We're here 'til the new year. We have a Christmas single to record and film here, so we'll be taking a break from the tour. It starts back up in January. It should be fun."
Mika's heart warmed happily at the thought. He originally thought Yuu would be gone within days, but he had a lot more time now. Mika check his phone quickly, seeing that the date was November 11th, he had over a month.
He poked Yuu's arm lightly, whispering his name repeatedly as an attempt to wake him up. He came to no success. When he got desperate enough he started shaking him as gently as he could. He sighed, not even stirring the boy.
"Yuuuuuuu-chhhhhaaaaaannn." He spoke into the boy's ear, startling him. Yuu jumped up, whacking his forehead against Mika's. They both groaned, clutching the injured area.
"I'm so sorry Mika." Yuu apologised, holding his head in agony.
"It's fine," Mika guffawed, which brought everyone's attention on them, "It's my fault for waking you."
"Yuu didn't kill him for waking him up," Shinoa pointed out, flailing her arms, "This is it. This is the end."
