Mika opened the door to see a rather disheveled and tired looking Yuu, who had grey bags sagging under his eyes. He smiled weakly, yawning from simply having his mouth open. He had a bag slung across his shoulder and a black beanie covering his bed hair.

"Hey Yuu," Mika smiled genuinely for the first time that day, "Thank you so much for coming...I appreciate you being the one to let me know about...y'know." Mika's smile disappeared quickly, his grip on the door noticeably tightening.

"No problem! Oh and...I'm sorry about that." Yuu offered a sheepish warm smile, handing Mika the bag.

"Oh! Come in! Sorry I'm a bit all over the place." Mika giggled, widening the gap of the door to let Yuu in, to which he obliged. It was weird to have someone else in his room other than Akane. Mika was usually alone most of the time. Between travelling countries and staying in hotels, he didn't have time to make friends. Given that he was a solo artist, friends didn't come with the job. That's why he loved to come back to New York to his friends and family, it's what kept him sane. Mika walked further into the room and sat down on the bed, patting the space beside him. Yuu flung himself onto the bed, stretching out his body and sighing.

"I'm sorry," he said, but Mika knew he didn't really mean it, "I'm just really tired." Mika watched in admiration, the small quirks and just things that Yuu did made him smile. He loved the little things he did, but it was too soon to admit whether or not he loved Yuu. In a friendship way, of course, already. But, romantically, that wasn't something he could admit yet, even just to himself.

"That's fine." Mika assured, more glad that Yuu did the gesture rather than him not have, it eased any possible tension that could have been there. Mika looked at his hands and began fiddling with his thumbs, he didn't know what else to say.

"Have you thought about what management you want to switch too?" Yuu asked, fluttering his eyes shut. Mika noticed how Yuu had long eyelashes, they were pretty. Mika didn't exactly expect Yuu to be sprawled across his days within knowing him, but this wasn't exactly the context he imagined it in, either.

"I don't think..." Mika trailed off, pondering to himself on how he should word his feelings, "I want to continue music...without the company. They had a huge part and...it wouldn't feel the same." Mika cursed himself for letting his eyes water, but he couldn't help himself from welling up with emotions. His mind was flashing back to memories on how he came from nothing to where he was now and nothing else felt right. Tears splashed onto his palm, making him suddenly aware of how noticeable his tears were and how he was making soft sobbing noises.

"Hey..." Yuu uttered softly, sitting up beside him and rubbing his back in comforting circular motions, "Don't say that. You're an amazing musician, you have so much of your career left and your fans love you...they depend on you."

"Don't say that," Mika sighed, "That makes it worse." Yuu laughed.

"I'm trying to guilt you into staying. I'm sorry," He spoke lightheartedly. Yuu wrapped one arm around Mika's waist which made him take a short intake of breath. Mika prayed inwardly that he didn't notice. He shouldn't be affected just by a simple gesture, but he was. Mika thought about Yuu's words, but they only made his heart sink. He wanted to continue for the fans, and his love for music, but to be frank, he was scared. He was scared of the prospect of a new environment and new people. He was scared about the thought of being forced into things he didn't agree with for publicity purposes. He had no idea what another manager would make him do and he didn't know who he could trust.

"I'll continue." Mika confirmed to himself, announcing it out loud so he couldn't take it back. Yuu cheered, throwing his arms over Mika and squeezing him tightly.

"Yay! Yay! Yay!" Yuu squealed, squishing his face into Mika's arm. Even when he seemed wrecked, he somehow was bounding with energy when he wanted to. Mika smiled to himself, the happy aura off Yuu was one that was way too contagious for his liking. He felt like anyone within a 100 metre radius of Yuu would have a smile on their face in an instant. He was the literal sunshine on legs. Yuu let him go, leaving Mika wheezing for breath.

"Join our management!" Yuu gasped, his eyes widening with realisation. He suddenly became even more excited than before. He grabbed his arm and began shaking it, shaking Mika's entire body with it.

"I don't know." Mika was reluctant to show it, but he was extremely keen on the idea. He figured that this way he would see Yuu more often and they would be more familiar which each other's music this way. Yuu seemed happy with his own management and as far as he was concerned, they seemed like good people too. It seemed like a foolproof plan to Mika at first.

"Is there anything...you're not allowed to do?" Mika asked, he prayed inwardly for no complications, he wanted this to work.

"Well...there's one thing..." Yuu paused, "They are picky about relationships, you see. If you're in a relationship, that's fine. But, no one can know about it unless they are famous and they can use it to their advantage. If you're apart of the LGBTQ+ community though, it's different. They want to confirm to societies norms and I know it's stupid, but, that's how it is. No one can know about it. No one. You keep it to yourself if you're smart. But that doesn't concern you, surely?"

Yuu winked at Mika playfully as he felt his stomach drop.
