"I won't last a day without you."

Sanyukta stirred lazily as sunlight streamed into her room.
"Sanyukta wake up," Randhir called as he drew the curtains to let in the morning light.
"Randhir close the damn curtains and let me sleep," Sanyukta said hoarsely covering her eyes with a pillow to block out the blinding light.
"We will be late for college Sanyu," Randhir whispered as he settled next to her on the bed and removed the pillow that was obscuring her face. She looked nothing less than adorable with her messy hair and scrunched up face. Sanyukta frowned when she realized that Randhir wasn't going to give up, unlike her alarm. So she opened her eyes with a great show of annoyance and reached out for her mobile phone.
The time read 7:30. A full two hours until college started. She promptly pulled the bed covers higher so that they covered her face and closed her eyes for a snooze.
"Sanyukta?" Randhir asked confused.
"Randhir I am not waking up so early. Go away!" Sanyukta muttered turning her face to the other side.
"But you are already awake!"
"And its all your fault!" Sanyukta said as she opened her eyes defeated and sat up on the bed.
Randhir watched with a small smile as Sanyukta rubbed her eyes and looked at him with irritation. She looked way too cute in her early morning angry avatar.
Sanyukta's anger quickly changed to appreciation as she took in Randhir's form. He had evidently just come back from his morning jog. Dressed in track pants and a black vest, he looked every bit like one of the male models that paraded in the many fitness ads she had seen over the years. It was worth waking up this early if only to see Randhir like this.
"Like what you see," Randhir whispered in her ears.
"You wish Shekawat," Sanyukta laughed playfully pushing him away and running her fingers through her tangled hair.
"Get dressed. I'll go see about breakfast."
"Randhir it is just half past seven. Breakfast can wait."
"What about college? Vardhan sir isn't going to wait before he starts the first lecture even if you are his favorite student."
"I don't know about you. But I personally don't start for college two hours before time."
"I like being early," Randhir said defensively as Sanyukta showed him his tongue.
"You did not just mock me Agarwal," Randhir said with fake fury.
"I am so scared," Sanyukta laughed as she attempted to get off the bed. But before she could Randhir had her pinned to the bed.
"Messing with me isn't a laughing matter," Randhir whispered as he traced the contours of her face with his nose.
And true to his words the last traces of laughter left Sanyukta's face as she felt Randhir's lips brush over her closed eyes. A beautiful smile of anticipation had taken over.

"Sanyukta you are going to be the end of me," Randhir whispered as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Sanyukta sighed contentedly. She generally hated waking up this early. But if it meant this she was more than willing to be woken up by her boyfriend early every day. Boyfriend, Sanyukta thought with a smile as she cuddled closer to him.
