Gabby a POV

I woke up the next morning to someone knocking on my bedroom door.

"Go away!" I groan still half asleep.

"It's Brady." He says from the other side of the door.

"You may be my favorite brother, but I still like sleeping more than you. So go away." I say not opening my eyes.

I hear my bedroom door open, then close again and Brady walks in.

"Gabb wake up. Let's talk." He says sitting on my bed.

I groan and open my eyes sitting up.

"Morning." He smiles.

"No small talk, let's just hear the lecture so I can go back to bed." I say.

"No lecture, I just wanna talk." He says and I nod.

"So tell me, what happened last night?" He asks.

I tell him the whole story. Starting with how I was planning to go out with Maddie before telling Joey, how she left me at the party, drinking, the the guys in the car, the one creepy kid, Matt fighting them, me fighting with Dylan, and Matt coming over last night. I told him everything and didn't leave our any details.

I felt comfortable with Brady, I can tell him almost anything and he's usually pretty calm about it all.

"Oh wow." He says.

"It's bad. Joeys is going to kill me." I say.

"Nah he's a cop, he knows better." Brady jokes.

"I'm serious.." I groan.

"Okay well let's talk about the big things first. Who's this boy, Michael?" He asks.

"Matthew." I correct.

"Right. Who is he?" He asks.

"I don't know, he's new to school. He's in my science class. We never really talked until last night." I say.

"Why don't you guys talk at school?" He asks and I shrug.

"I don't know, I mean we aren't really friends. We don't really hang in the same crowd." I say.

"And what crowd does he hang with?" He asks.

"You know, the ones always getting in trouble, being late to class-"

"So the bad kids?" Brady asks.

"Well if you wanna put it in terms a first grader would use." I say.

"So you barely know him, and he just came up here, on your balcony and talked to you?" He asks.

"Yeah I know, weird right?" I ask.

"Too weird. It's a little creepy. And if he's a bad guy shouldn't you not hang out with him?" He says.

"But he's not a bad guy, once you talk to him like I did-"

"Gabby listen. I have to go with my gut, and Dylan on this one. Stay away from him. And if I find out he came up here again I'll call the cops and have him arrested for stalking." Brady says and I nod.

"Yeah maybe you guys are right. I shouldn't get involved.." I say.

The more I think about it I guess I understand where they are coming from.
