Aelin Ashryver Galathynius was watching her own younger self preparing to explain her temporal journey when the door burst open and Lysandra came in rushing, her cheeks burning, with a scarf tight around her neck. She made it in a few steps until her eyes remained still on Celaena, who had her kill face on. Aelin stood up from her chair rolling eyes, and walked towards Lysandra, whose red cheeks started fading because of her sudden paleness.
"What is she doing here?!" screamed Celaena, her face as red as a tomato and her eyes like burning flames. How funny, Aelin thought. She hadn't realized the way she must have acted when she saw Lysandra again. Until now.
"Calm down, I'm more than sure that the boys here are tired of dealing with me being furious. Believe me" said Aelin. Celaena calmed herself, only a bit, but enough so that Aelin could try to explain her. "Look, as much as you doubt it, Lysandra's on our side. She is actually our friend"
Celaena's face paled so fast, that Aelin would've thought she's dying. That if she wouldn't still be standing, healthy as ever. She still found it funny though, but the important thing was finding a way to keep Celaena from jumping to Lysandra's neck. Aelin turned her head toward her friend, realizing she hadn't said anything since her so rushed arrival. So she took her hand and lead her to her bedroom, closing the door behind them. Only then did Lysandra allow herself to breathe.
"I know you're confused. I was too when I bumped into her outside the Vaults. Apparently, back when I was King's Champion, I found a way to time travel. And the thing that scares the shit out of me is the fact that I don't remember myself doing that" breathed Aelin. Lysandra was watching her wide-eyed. She still hadn't said a word. She was stunned, Aelin could see that clearly, but she didn't say anything, she decided to let her think. She was wondering whether or not to leave the room, when Lysandra's bell-like voice filled the silent room.
"You look better with longer hair" she simply said. Aelin started laughing, hugging her friend, starting to walk slowly to the door. "Wait" Lysandra continued "What are we going to tell her? She really hates me, you know that"
"Leave that to me" said Aelin with a neutral face. She actually had no idea about what to tell Celaena, she just hoped she would get over it for the moment. No, not hope, pray to the gods; she knew she was not a particularly calm lady, or a lady at all, when it came to the people she hated. She swept that thought away from her mind, linking her arm with Lysandra's, in a probably weak attempt to show her newly formed peace. Not that Celaena would mind.
"Don't worry, you've got me and two deadly fae warriors in that room, no matter how... impulsive she— I may be, she wouldn't dare to attack you"
Lysandra only nodded, not quite convinced, but Aelin couldn't blame her of course, she knew she was quite scary sometimes.
Hi! I really hope you are enjoying this fanfiction so far, it is the first one I have ever written, and I have to apologize if there are any grammar mistakes, I am not a native English speaker. I don't know how frequently I will be able to update this, as I have a very hard year in school, but I will do my best and try to update as much as I can. Thank you! -Emma
