Chapter 14: On The Road Again

(Josh's POV)

Everyone was still so sad about Ethan, Tobi and Maggie. One by one each of us either went to our car, or went off somewhere.

Towards the beginning of the day we all met back up by the lake.

"This place freaks me out." Jasmine whispered.

"Me too." Vik told her.

We were all sitting there listening to what our plan was when we heard screaming.

"Shit! We forgot about the girls in the trunks!" Simon yelled.

We all ran over to our cars, opening our trunks. One by one they all came out falling to the floor coughing for air.

"How do you just forget about us!" One of the girls yelled. I think her name was Erin?

"Well I mean, you can't really blame us." JJ told her.

One of the girls looked at me. It was the one from the other day. I think her name was Lauren.

I kept seeing her staring at me and the whispering to the other girls. Then I realized what she was doing. But it was too late.

One of them yelled "Go!" And they all started running away. We tried chasing them but ended up losing them.

"Fucks sake!" JJ yelled. "What now?"

"We will have to find them later. We have to get going before it's too late." I told them all.

"But what if we can't!" JJ complained.

"Just get in your car and go!" I yelled at him turning around. I walked back to my car, thinking about Rosie. Why hasn't see responded yet. I got so mad that I punched my car leaving a dent in it.

"Josh?" I heard someone whisper. I turned around and their stood Dani.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." I told her walking up to her. I wrapped my arms around her. She was basically my sister now, and I was not going to let her slip away from me.

"Come on, everyone's leaving. I'll let Dani have shotgun. I'll take back seat." Taylor smiled at us walking up to my car and getting in. I got into the drivers side and Dani got in. Now headed on our way to Kentucky.

~Time skip like 4 hours~

We were almost there, but we still had a little drive to go. Taylor had ended up falling asleep sprawled out in the back seat. Dani fell asleep with the seat back as far as it could go.

I was super tired but I couldn't do anything about it. Next thing I knew I heard taking.

"You look tired."

I looked over and Dani was awake looking out her window.

"Yea can you tell?" I laughed a bit. She just laughed. "We're almost there." I told her.

"Good because I'm starving."

"I have some crisp back in that compartment right there." I pointed to the glove box.

"Crisp?" She questioned.

"I'm sorry, chips." I said dragging out the word.

"Hey I'm sorry I'm not British! But you have lived her long enough to understand." She laughed taking them out and started eating them.

"So why did you guys come to America anyway?" She asked.

"Do you really wanna know?" She nodded her head yes looking out her window again.

"It started in 4th grade. Us boys were really good kids, the teachers loved us but the students didn't. We got bullied almost every day. It was the worst for Ethan. That's probably why he went crazy. People would hit him, mock him, even sexual harass him in the bathrooms. Eventually our parents got sick of it. They told us that they were sending us to live with Ethan's old best friend, Dakota. That's how we know her. Then eventually when we were old enough we went back to have our revenge. Ever since then we have been killers." I told her sighing at the end. I hated my child hood.

"Wow. That sounds harsh. I feel so bad for Ethan! Maybe I should have talked to him more, get to know him."

"Yea, he's really cool once you get to know him. It's just that he can get a little crazy sometimes."

"Yea." She sighed.

"You look confused." I laughed looking at her face.

"It's cause I can't remember anything!" She tugged on her hair a little bit groaning.

"Don't worry when we get there, I'll tell you everything." I smiled and her and she smiled back.

"Hey guys look! The Kentucky sign! We're here!" Taylor yelled waking up.
