I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and bright. It took me a few minutes to realize that it was my first morning as a legal adult! I laid in bed stretching and rubbing my eyes thinking about my upcoming trip to England. There's no way I'm going to England for two whole weeks! I laid in bed going over different scenarios of what could happen in England and mentally going through my solo. As I day dreamed my nose caught a whiff of the most delicious smell. I rolled out of bed and practically ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. My mother decided to start out my day with a birthday breakfast that consisted of my favorite, Cinnamon Rolls! These rolls were not just plain old Cinnamon Rolls, these were special and some of the best rolls! Mother turned around and I saw that these rolls had birthday candles stuck in the top of them.

"Make a wish," she said with excitement laced in her voice and sparkling in her bright eyes. I quickly blew the candles out and carefully pulled the candles out of the rolls. Once the candles were out I didn't hesitate to dig into the scrumptious rolls. After eating the delicious breakfast, I went back up to my room to get ready for the day. I went into my bathroom to do my 'business' and take a shower. After the shower, I walked back into my room to pick out my favorite dress from my wardrobe and get dressed for the day. Once I was dressed I did my makeup like I also ways do with natural eyeshadow that had some sparkle to it along with black eyeliner and mascara. As I finished my makeup I heard a knock on my door and in came my Mother with my Grandma.

"Lily we have another surprise for your birthday!" my mother said with her hands clasped.

"Are you almost ready Lily?" Grandmother asked me.

"Yeah let me just grab my purse and shoes then I'll be ready," I told the two of them. I quickly grabbed my purse and threw my phone, wallet, keys, and some chapstick into it. Walking out of my room and down to the kitchen, I met my grandmother and mom in the kitchen. I stood by the door waiting for my mother to turn off all of the lights and get her own purse while my grandmother came over to me and kissed the top of my head.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart," she said to me. She pulled back and looked at my outfit for the day, "Your outfit is beautiful!"

"Thank you, grandmother." I chuckled and gave her a twirl so she could see the whole outfit. It was a simple flowered dress with a lightweight black leather jacket and on my feet, I had some black sandals. As I finished my twirl my mom walked into the room with her car keys in hand and a smile on her beautiful face. I opened the door and held it for my mom and grandma, closing it behind me I hopped into the backseat of my mother's white Range Rover. Once I was buckled up I pulled my phone out to see why my phone was nonstop dinging.

Happy Birthday, text were coming in from all of my friends and family one after another. Scrolling through them quickly I locked my phone back up and put it in my purse once again.

As I sat in the car I watched houses and trees pass by, I couldn't help but think about what can possibly happen on our trip to London again. While daydreaming an idea popped into my head, 'What if we run into One Direction while we are there!' my daydream ended when I noticed that the car had stopped in front of my favorite shop. Getting out of the car I couldn't contain my excitement, I started to head towards the stores' doors until grandmother stopped me.

"Lily today is your birthday and after the other night, I wanted to make your first birthday as an adult the best. So today's shopping trip is for your trip and also for back to school clothes. Now let's get our shop on!" she cheered. Could this birthday get any better!?! Entering the store, I couldn't help but look around in amazement, I hadn't been shopping in a while and I was excited to see all of the cute summer clothes. Looking through every rack of clothing I found many cute tops and shorts along with some dresses. After trying on all of my finds and paying for them it was onto the next store. It went like this for a few hours until everyone was exhausted and had too many bags to carry. That was when we all decided that the shopping spree was over and it was time to go home.

When we got back to the car we unloaded all of our purchases into the trunk of the car and got in. I honestly don't know how we've been carrying these bags all day. As we drove I wondered what was for dinner, apparently, I had voiced this thought because my mom responded back with our plans.

"It's another birthday surprise," she stated while driving but looking through the rearview mirror to see me. While we drove I put in my earbuds and started listening to One Direction's new album and bobbing my head to the beat. I was so into it I was making a fool of myself in the backseat jamming. I didn't notice when we arrived at the restaurant. As I looked out the window I saw the building to my favorite hibachi grill, I quickly took my earbuds out and bounced in my seat waiting for the car to be put in park. We walked into the restaurant, well I practically ran, but my mom and grandmother were walking behind me. I once again held the doors open for them, walking into the familiar lobby I smiled at the lady behind the counter.

"Reservation under Lily," I told the lady.

"Right this way young lady," she said as she grabbed three menus and lead us into the room where to my surprise my family and best friends Maddie was sitting around the Hibachi table. Smiling even wider and doing a happy dance in my head I slid in between Maddie and my uncle. We were all sat and had ordered our drinks when the conversations started while waiting for the chef.

"You will never believe what happened at the party!" I quietly yelled so Maddie could hear. Sadly, she was busy the night of my party and didn't know what had happened.

"What happened?!" Maddie said with a grin.

"My family came together to buy me a trip to England!" I shouted causing the whole dining room to turn and look at me. While I blushed I looked at Maddie. When everyone had finished their dinner and the cake was polished off we all went our separate ways. I went home and thought long and hard on what I wanted to take with me on this trip. Two years ago I had taken Maddie on the trip to Germany that I got when I turned sixteen. Maddie and I had so much fun together in Germany. I got home and told mom goodnight and headed up to my room; I had some serious thinking to do. Once I entered my room and took my shoes off I sat down on my bed and flopped backward with my hands over my face. After an hour or so I had finally decided on what I wanted to do while in England and who I wanted to take along. I walked out of my room to find my mom to talk to her about taking Maddie with us. I walked into the living room to find her curled up on the couch with a book.

"Hey, mom I was thinking about what I wanted to do in England and wanted to let you know I want to take Maddie," I said watching my mom's face for any sign of disagreement.

"I'm glad you decided on what you want to do. I'm guessing Maddie is coming along?" She smiled up at me, I nodded.

"You should call her mom and talk to her about the plans before telling Maddie though," she explained.

"Will do mom. I'll go call her right now and then I'm going to bed, it's been a crazy few days!" and with that, I left her with her book and went back to my room.

After talking with my mom I ran up the steps taking them two by two and entered my room already dialing Maddie's moms number. A few short rings later and her mom answered sparking up a conversation. We had been talking for a while when her mother remembered that I had called her to ask a question. I went on and told her the news that I wanted to take Maddie with me to England and wanted to talk to her before asking Maddie.

After explaining how I got the tickets and the plans, and a long talk with my mother her mom agreed to let Maddie go with us. I couldn't put into words how happy I was, once I heard the barely audible yes I started screaming from joy and ran up to my room to text Maddie. I was so excited for this trip and I had two more weeks for the anticipation to grow!
