A/N on April 28, 2024: I think I will keep the previous author notes because I find them so cringey and funny lol. And I don't know who I was fooling to have Amber Heard play a high schooler with this picture....

Chapter 10: Wrong Move
I was still traumatized by what just happened. Thinking about if the pot did hit me. What would happen? I gave the flower pot a closer look and noticed a yellow note sticking out of it. I bend down to pick up the note sticking out of the dark brown dirt. I opened the folded note and read to myself. It said:
I'm closer than you think
They're closer than I think....Truth or Dare? Thinking about it made my head hurt. I couldn't think straight and I couldn't think of anyone. No one. My heart was still beating really fast, faster than a police car chasing someone on a highway. It was beating faster than saying the word 'okay'. I hide the note inside my bag.
"Kat, are you okay?" the voice of Tracy broke my self thoughts.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine," I said.
Suddenly Christian came up to me re-asking the same question Tracy said. My eyes turned to Hanna who looked as traumatized as me. She looked as if the flower pot was meant for her, not me. "I think we should go home," I suggested.
Hanna and Tracy agreed with me and headed straight for Hanna's place. Tracy was so desperate to find the bathroom. While she was in there, Hanna and I were debating whether or not we should tell Tracy about the whole Truth or Dare thing.
"We should tell," I demanded.
"No, it's better if she doesn't know," she replied.
"But she has to be aware of it because she was a part of the game too."
"If you tell her then what? Are you going to redo everything that happened? Are you going to go back in time to stop us from playing in the first place?" Hanna argued back.
Wait. Pause. If I remember clearly, if Hanna never gave Adam the book, we wouldn't be in this mess. Now that I think about it, Hanna did give Adam the book. But why? Since we were all alone for the moment, I have to tell Hanna quickly before Tracy comes back downstairs.
"Hanna..." I said.
"Mhm."
"Why did you give Adam the book?"
She stood quiet. Didn't say anything. I asked her, "Hanna, why did you give Adam the book?"
"What are you talking about? I didn't give it to him."
"Bitch, don't give that bullshit because you told us you gave it to him and you even showed us where to find him. I just wanna know why. Why did you give Adam the fucking book?"
