the one where they go out

Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.

Lauren's POV

I sit there, clutching my phone, waiting for that little noise to indicate I have a new text message. I wait and wait, but so far, no messages have come.

I decided to just go and take a shower.

Once I got out I went and grabbed my bag and phone to go get something to eat. My butt starts to vibrate and I look down at it. A smile comes upon my face and I really don't mean for it too, but I can't help it.

"Hey ;)" - J

"Hey!" - L

Oh god, he probably thinks I'm weird.

"Coffee date?" - J

"Yup." - L

"Sorry to say this but my friends wanna know if they can come? They don't have to go if you like." - J

"Nah its fine and I'm paying." - L

I text back while stepping into the elevator, I click the lobby button to head down to meet Jack and his friends. On the way down, the elevator stops indicating that someone is coming in. I look up to see who it is and I find a grinning Jack and his friends behind him.

"Nope, I am." - J

A smile spreads across my face as I look at the text and look back up at Jack, both of us putting our phones away.

"Hey guys this is Lauren the girl I was telling you about." said Jack while looking over at his friends.

"You mean the love of your life?" said one of his friends wearing a beanie and a thumbs up t-shirt with a gray jacket.

Jack turns around to glare at them and they all stop laughing immediately.

"He was just joking," Jack said with a nervous laugh.

"Anyways this is Matthew, Derek, Johnson, Nash, and Nate."

"Hey," they all said in unison.

"Hi," I said while smiling widely.

"Well, we should get going before the café closes." Jack said after standing there for a while.

After we got back Jack and I decided to hang out a little longer. We are currently watching Netflix and cuddling. (Friends cuddle right?)

"What do you wanna watch next?" Jack says while looking for a movie to watch.

"Umm Bruce Almighty?" I said accidentally making it sound more like a question.

"Ah! She has good taste in movies." He said in a joking manner.

The whole night all we did was eat and watch movies.

Best night ever.
