Chapter Five Dinner Time Conversations
Adelyn's POV
I can successfully say I survived the wrath of Tiffany.
According to my new friends, this is no ordinary feat. Tiffany is usually an extremely mean human being and has no exceptions when it comes to revenge. So that's why I was sitting at a secluded table with my friends while trying to come up with a suitable game plan to avoid Tiffany.
"I don't get why you guys don't like my idea!" whined Melanie.
Melanie was what you would call a mental patient. She was the wild one in our group and had bright green eyes and flaming red hair to match her extremely short temper and wild side. She had the most wacky styles of clothing and always wore bright neon sneakers. Mel confessed to me that she's actually 18 but looks like a 16 year old.
"I don't think pushing Tiffany in a box and sending her to Mockingbird's Cove would be a good idea," Leah stated dryly. "Besides, she can always bribe her way back here."
Leah was what you would call the 'realist' of the group. She constantly fought with Melanie's crazy side using her 'realistic' information. She had chocolate brown hair and timid amber eyes that seemed to dart around everywhere. But don't let that fool you; I saw that girl tackling a girl that's twice her size. Although Leah was extremely short, she was the eldest by 3 months.
Another thing; she hated being called short. Whatever you do, never call Leah short, unless you have a death wish. Once, she gave a boy- twice her weight- a nasty punch just because he called her a shorty. Lesson learned, never call Leah short.
"All my ideas are perfectly normal! They just have a bit of flair to it and a tiny amount of creativity. You can't blame the fact that Fate had made a slight miscalculation on how much creativity I need!" Mel waved her hands around wildly.
"How your family deals with you is beyond me," Leah rolled her eyes jokingly.
Mel just grinned a smile similar to the Cheshire cat.
"Awww Lee-Lee, you care about me?" Mel put her lips on full-on pout mode as she fluttered her eyelashes dramatically.
"Annoying girl," Lee muttered.
"And you love me for it, shorty!" Mel countered back heatedly.
Lee's eyes narrowed dangerously. Her hands started to clench until the knuckles were white from all the strain. I swear the fork was bent because of her tight grip.
"Guys, cut it out." I grinned when I saw Lee compose herself with a great deal of restraint and Mel winked at us deviously.
"She's right, you know? If we didn't stop you, you two would be dead by now." Ivy said. Bless that child, she was the sweetest girl you can ever encounter.
Ivy was Melanie's younger sister and was eleven. But she was an absolute angel and adored Mel to pieces. She also had her mom's flaming red hair that showed her feisty hidden side. Unlike Mel, she inherited her dad's clear blue eyes that screamed innocence. It was such a shame she's in the games; apparently, Mel practically freaked when she heard Ivy had to participate.
Ivy continued to eat her dinner slowly, as we waited for her to finish. I slowly turned to Lee.
"Well? What's your idea then?" I inquired.
Lee straightened herself with a great deal of importance. "I say you use the fight or flight plan." she said seriously. "I mean, Tiffany is well known among the girls to be the most notorious person for revenge."
From what I've heard, I can say that was definitely true. One time, a girl bumped into Tiffany and hadn't apologized. Tiffany decided that she wasn't going to be disrespected and lose her reputation as 'most notorious person for revenge'. So she hunted down every single piece of embarrassing information about the poor girl and put it on a book for every student to see. The girl was harassed for the rest of her school years until she dropped out and transferred to another coven. And to add to that, Tiffany had managed to get that information circling around the girl's new coven and embarrassed her even further. All because she of the fact the girl hadn't apologized.
