Personification poem: procrastination

Mom, I'll do it later
I'll do it in a few
I'll do it soon
When? I don't know sometime around noon

The homework towered over me
The due dates creeping up
I haven't even started yet
And I'm really starting to sweat

All this work hangs over me
In what seems a grey cloud
This all makes me feel depressed
I swear I'll need to be blessed

This days dragging on
I'd rather read about Peter piper picking a peck of pickled peppers
But all the papers are crackling
And I can hear my mother cackling

I wish I was in the rain covered plains of Spain
Please someone save me from this aggravation
I'd rather go figure out a revelation
I think I need a vacation

I've been at this for hours
I think I'll go to bed
I'll explain to the educator
How I'll do it later
