Make sure you like the fursona. If you don't feel a connection of some sort, it may be hard to become him/her/them. Make sure to take the time to try connecting with him/her/them. Having traits and a personality similar or exactly the same to your fursona will help with connection between the two. For example, if you're kind and funny, I'd recommend creating your fursona with the same personality traits.
