School was almost over and I was so excited! That summer was going to be different I said to myself. I was going to have fun and go out with friends and party.

I could not wait and also that meant that next fall I'd be a sophomore and no longer a freshman! I only had three days of school left. Monday we'd be reviewing for finals, Tuesday we'd take math and English final and Wednesday we'd take biology and history and that was it! My freshman year would be over!

I'd still have to wake up early because I had to get a summer job but that didn't really matter to me. I was making money, so what was there to complain about? I already had my job, unlike most of my friends that waited until the last minute to start filling out applications, I had applied to my job two or three weeks ago. I was working at a thrift shop with my friend.

I remember being really anxious to start work. One because I'd be working with my closest friend, her name was Melanie and she was so funny, and smart we got along great! Two because that job would keep be busy and on my feet just the way I liked it. Three I'd be interacting with people which was also something I liked! And if that wasn't enough reasons let me just give you another one, I'd get 50% off anything I bought from the store! How great was that?

I had to start work on Saturday, I was working from 3-10. I was just thankful that I'd get two days to relax and to myself.

Once I started work I immediately loved it even more than I thought I would. The boss is so nice, he's always cracking jokes and in a great mood. My coworkers were alright, there was mostly only teenagers  working at the store and there was this one girl that was always in a sour mood. I swear I have no idea why she applied to work there if she wasn't going to be nice to the customers.

There was even this one time that she swore at a customer! The customer was giving her a hard time because he said that the things he'd gotten were in the clearance rank so he demanded a discount. Leila, that was her name of course couldn't give him one and she told him to fucking relax and that she couldn't give him a fucking discount. Thank god for her luck that John, our boss wasn't there and nobody told him about that.

It was already mid-summer and I swear my summer was not going how I expected it to be. I mean I was having fun and going out but not as much as I'd like because one of my coworkers got into a really bad accident and was in the hospital. So John had asked me to work her shift just until he'd find somebody. But I'd been working her shift for over a month and he still hadn't hired anybody.

*Let me know what you guys think!! I promise it will get more interesting, I just like writing in detail, so yea* Tell me, do you think that a new guy will appear in her life? And this time actually change Rachel's "I try to avoid relationships because I do not need nor want one" motto genuinely?
