"Hello?", I asked with confusion.
"Hi, I've been waiting for your call", the voice said.
"Umm...sorry I didn't get your name..?", I said.
The voice chuckled, harshly. "Because I didn't give it..". And with that, the voice hanged up.
I couldn't identify whether it was a man or woman. Whatever gender it was, it made me worried. Scared even.
I decided to tell my mum, so I can have someone hold me to stop the shaking. "Mum! Something strange is happening", I yelled up the stairs.
No answer.
"mum?", still no reply. I'm starting to get even more freaked out. Is anyone actually in the house? On a normal day I would have loved the idea of being able to be at home all by myself. But that phone call... the unidentified voice..
Just as I'm about to give up and call Jess to see if I can come over for the night, a door slams.
I jump in surprise and hear footsteps coming closer and closer towards me... they sounded heavier and heavier as they came into contact with the floor. I knew I needed to run, but I was paralyzed into that spot.
The foot steps stopped right outside the door. The door thats keeping me alive. I'm just praying that it does that thing where it stays still and stuck for a while to buy me some time. Unfortunately the door chooses this day of all days to work. The suspense is killing me, but I'm waiting. Patiently, for death to come...
