I stir awake to the sound of knocking at my bedroom door. I look out the window, and it's just becoming light out, I look toward the mystic sun clock and realize that it is 6:00am.
I sit up in my bed. I stretch and yawn. The knocking continues. I jump out of bed and make it to the door just before another round of knocking commences.
I open the door fully not meaning too, and there standing in front of me is the most beautiful vampire I have ever seen.
She has Bluish-black hair, bright baby blue eyes that sparkle like the blue stars at night, high cheek bones, very strong jawline, a jawline that could cut diamonds, beautiful curvy body. She's dressed in the school uniform that makes her look so sexy, wait what am I saying?
"Umm hello?" She says awkwardly.
Her voice is silvery, there is a rich, beautiful accent. It sounds promptly Irish but with a mix of British in there.
"Roxie?" She asks curiously. Looking perplexed as she stares at me.
"Yes, yes that's me." I quickly spurt out.
Great. Now she probably thinks I'm weird for staring her up and down.
I then realize I am standing there in the doorway in just undergarments. I cover my chest with my pale arms.
"I-I am so so sorry. I completely forgot." I stutter.
She giggles.
"No trouble, it's perfectly fine. We're all girls here right?" She laughs. She covers her mouth with her hand when she laughs.
I smile nervously restraining from saying anything else that could make me look stupid.
"I'll wait out in the hall." She informs me. Before I say anything the door is already closed and I am alone still standing in the doorway groggy and confused of my first encounter with this girl. Possibly the one Dean Lockhart assigned me? I quickly dress in my school uniform. I blow out the now low burning flame on the candle wick.
I look around seeing if I missed anything...Ah yes my shoes!
I slip on my boots and tie the knots quickly. I grab my bag and books and I join the girl outside in the hall.
"Okay I am ready." I gasp. Out of breathe from hurrying around in my room.
She nods and leads me out of the living area and we head over to the main building.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I got your name?" I ask her, feeling slightly embarrassed.
She side smiles at me,
"My name is Stella, love." She proclaims, she brings her hand to her chest.
I feel something flip in my stomach when she calls me "love", but I hide my excitement so she doesn't notice.
"So," she coughs, "what made you want to come here?" She asks me breaking the silence that has been growing heavier.
"Well, all of the females in my family has come to this school, so it's tradition, that I wished to carry on." I explain.
"Wait, so you're a Dracula?" She asks me shock taking over her voice.
"Yes, I am a Dracula." I laugh at her amazement.
"Don't think of me as a stalker or anything but, I have read the history of your family, and Vlad Dracula is a legend." She continues. A smile growing upon her face and I can see her white fangs glisten. I can't help but stare. She looks at me and I break my gaze.
"Well, I feel honoured to show you around." She exclaims.
I laugh again.
"Shhh, I'm still a normal, ordinary vampire despite my family history, but thank you." I smile.
We enter the main buildings doors. Stella opens the door for me. I smile a thank you and she smiles back.
"Do you have your schedule, by the way?" Stella asks me.
I panic a moment, then remember I do have it. I pull it out, her and I look over it.
"Alright, good news is, I take Psychology and Dark Arts as well." She smiles at me, and I feel the excitement surging through my icy veins.
"See if you look at the schedule carefully, all of the majors sync up with a minor, so all of the majors the Dean gave you, the minors go with it
So,
Psychology and Dark Arts
Doctor and Astronomy
Music and Classical Studies
Sociology and History
Art and Medieval Studies,
It's set like this so its easier to find a class, though before you had to search through out the school to find a class." Stella explains as she points out each class on my schedule.
"Oh, that's neat." I respond.
"Yes, it is."
"Today is orientation day actually, for the new comers, that's why the Dean assigned me to you, because I have attended this school for a year now." Stella tells me kindly.
"If it's orientation, then why are all the regular students here?" I ask confused.
"Because, the Dean wants all the new comers to meet everyone all at the same time, instead of days apart. That way nobody feels intimidated by everyone else." She explains to me the best she can.
"I think I get it." I say, still a bit confused.
Stella laughs. "Don't worry, I'm still confused by it too, that's just how it has always been, at least I think so." She chuckles.
Her laugh is so sweet to hear, like milk and honey.
"Well, we might as well bring you to your first class." She says, as she takes my hand and leads/drags me down the corridor. Her hand is soft and light like a feather, she seems so fragile and dainty. For someone who looks dainty sure has a tight grip and is strong like a  female version of Hercules.
I smile at my thoughts.
What am I saying? I can't have a crush on her...it's wrong. Homosexuality is wrong, well not to me, but to others it is. I've witnessed people get stoned and hung for liking the same gender as themselves. It's wrong. I believe in love and that it can happen anywhere dispute gender.
"Come on, you know you like her." My subconscious whispers into my pointy ears.
I look at her, she's so focused on taking me to class, she looks super cute.
I stop myself from thinking anymore thoughts.
I decide to start a conversation.
"So," I cough. "What is your family like?" I ask nonchalantly.
"Well, my father is a blacksmith, he smiths and welds the weapons for the king and his army." She explains and the way she talks is just so cute. "Shut up Roxie." My other subconscious mind growls at me.
"That's really interesting." I say with an intrigued look on my face. "May I ask you something?" I ask innocently.
"Yes, go for it." She says, "make it quick we are almost to class." She warns me.
"Where are you from? Your accent is so interesting." I blurt out.
"I was originally born in Ireland, and lived there until I was 5000 which would make me five in human years then my family moved to London. Because there were so many blacksmiths working for the royal family in Ireland." She explains to me. "So my father was able to get a job working as the Kings blacksmith in London...and so we are pretty wealthy." She continues.
"So that's why your accent sometimes goes from Irish to English." I say finally realizing why.
She laughs. "Exactly."
"You didn't say any mention of your mother. May I ask why?" I ask softly.
We stop outside the door to class and she whispers the answer.
"My mother, she passed when I was born. I was the last of 5 children, my father told me all through out the pregnancy she would get very ill, so when the time came for me to be born, this is what my father told me...that she wanted me to live, and her to perish, though there couldn't be anything done to save her, and there was a very horrible storm out that night, so my mother and father were forced inside with no doctor. So, after the birth, she passed away. My father took care of me and my other siblings, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Eventually he got over my mothers death, he was happy that I survived. 'A healthy baby girl' he would always call me. He loves me with all his heart, I was and am his little baby. Before I could remember, he married again. My step mum treated me as her own, even though she had two boys of her own, and coming into a family of 5 children already. But that is why their was no mention of my mother." She finishes solemnly. Her voice was flat and shallow all through out that. I can see a tear begin to prick the  water line of her eye.
"Oh my, I am so sorry I asked. I was just curious. Again I am so so sorry Stella." I apologize.
She half smiles. Then sniffles.
"It's okay Roxie, you didn't know." She half smiles at me.
"We should go in before we get in trouble." She says before I can say anything else.
I nod and follow her in.
The room is not what I was expecting at all. It's a medium sized room with at least 50 other vampires, but there is still plenty of seats. Stella and I walk towards the professor.
She is sitting at her hard wood desk, writing out something on paper with a quill ink pen.
"Mrs. Kaitlin?" Stella says her name with grace.
The women looks up. Her features are flawless and defined.
Her eyes are a deep blue, but still shine bright, her lips are full and lush, she has a button nose. She is pretty attractive. Her cheek bones are prominent and full while her jawline is sharp.
"Yes Stella?" She responds then her gaze meets mine and she knows why Stella is standing in front of her.
"You must be Roxie?" She asks. She stands and shakes my hand.
Very polite.
"Yes, I am Roxie." I say, I shake her hand and stand up straight and tall. Just like mother taught me.
Always treat the Professors with great respect, and they shall do the same in return.
"Well my dear, take a seat anywhere." She says, gesturing to the seats in front of her.
I smile a toothy grin and take a seat. Stella follows and sits next to me.
"I think this is everyone. Hello and good morning everyone I am Mrs. Kaitlin. I will be your Psychology and Dark Arts Professor if you are interested in this choice." She explains, as she walks to the center of the room, about 5 feet away from her desk. She's mainly talking about the newer vamps, which looks to be about half the class.
--
Mrs. Kaitlin goes over the rules and regulations to her class room, for about 25 minutes, then we go around the room and tell everyone our names and one thing about us. It starts from the first row, down and then to the next person in the next row. So on and so fourth. I mentally prepare myself for when all eyes are on me. Before I know it, we are in my row.
"Hi, I'm Lilith and I have been hunted by many a vampire hunters, and have bested all of them." She explains with sheer confidence. Everybody Oh's and Ah's at that fact about her. Which I have to say is pretty impressive. Beating the hunters. She does look like the type to fight, dark black hair tied in a ponytail, crystal clear eyes, high cheekbones and a sort of grimacing look
On to the next vamp.
"Hello, I am Erica and I am here because I am a practicing Wiccan." She says, a bit on the shy side. By looking at her you couldn't tell she was practicing magick. She has round glasses that have a thin sheet of glass. She's cute to say the least. Cute button nose, dark forest green eyes, round face.
Next.
"Hi, I'm Jasmine and I like to sing."
She says perkily.
She's almost like your average vampire. One of the saloon girls if you will. Blonde hair, bright blue eyes, skinny, big chest area. I'm not one to judge. No way, but I've been downtown and in one of those saloons. They look unsuspectingly just like that, but she's wearing a school uniform. Usually the women downtown would be wearing a hoop skirt and very laced top, hair up, on top of the head and curls raining down their shoulders and back, all while their face is dolled up.
I don't have anything against her, she seems sweet all together, I already like her.
Next.
Stella stands saying her name and interesting fact.
"Hello, I am Stella and my father works and or worked for the King of London." She tells the class, making eye contact with everyone at least once. She finishes and sits. I am up next.
I stand.
"Hello I'm Roxie..and all of-"
"We know who you are." Girls in the front say up to me, interrupting.
"Oh? Do you? Then tell me who I am." I say in a tone that causes tension.
In the corner of my eye I see Stella, Jasmine, Erica and Lilith, all move to the edge of their seat. While everyone else is either hiding their eyes, or have their eyes glued to me.
"You're Roxie Dracula. The girl that has the high social status all through Romania." One of them says, smirking. She's a brunette, grey stone cold eyes, thin pointy nose. By looking at her, and just by her remarks, I can already sense she is a snotty vamp.
"Of course she's here, she gets whatever she wants." Another girl says. She's sporting red hair, pale ocean blue eyes and freckles sprinkled across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. She as well has a thin pointy nose. Her personality matches the brunette's.
"She thinks she's sooo amazing." The third and final one says sarcastically. Her hair is dirty blonde, her eyes are a pale sea foam green. Her nose as well pointy. Personality matching the others too.
What the hell is with the pointy noses with those three?
"Dawn, Elizabeth, and Rosemary!" Mrs. Katilin barks at them. They snap around and face the front. I can see that slowly, their cheeks become a very very light pink.
"Roxie may be of high status, but she will be respected as anyone else." Mrs Katilin sticks up for me. I smile down to her and she smiles back.
"You may resume Roxie." Mrs. Katilin calls up to me, smiling.
"Thank you. As I was saying before I was interrupted by the Troll Trio," The three girls glare up at me. Mrs. Katilin shakes her head, and the 4 girls in my row snicker, and the rest of the vamps either snicker or there is a faint "Ohh." I smile victoriously.
"All of the females in my family have attended this school, and I hope to continue that tradition." I say proudly. Everyone applauds my fact. I assume they all know the history of my family.
I smile, "Thank you everyone." I bow.
"Thank you Roxie, you may take a seat now." Mrs. Katilin says.
I take my seat and Mrs. Katilin continues on with the introduction of her class.
"Wow," Stella whispers.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"I can't believe you just back talked the three most popular girls in Bloodlust!"
"Well, I'm gonna hold my ground...I've been taught that." I respond.
She smiles and pats my thigh.
---
The class ends and we all exit.
"That was amazing." The three girls in my row congratulate me.
I smile.
The three evils walk over.
"I'd watch who you talk back too, Dracula." The brunette says.
"Dawns right." Says the red head.
"Mhh." Sighs the dirty blonde.
"Come on, Liz and Dawn." The red head says, and their posse leaves. Going down the hall.
"Hey Rosemary!" Stella shouts.
The red head turns to face us again.
Stella bares her fangs and so don't the other girls.
"Pfft. Whatever." Rosemary says, holding up her hand.
----
The day goes by just as the morning went...luckily I had Lilith, Erica and Jasmine with me exploring, meaning they are new here too.
Stella waits for me in the main building. She's leaning up against a marble column. Arms crossed.
"Ready to see the activities?" She says cheerfully.
"Not exactly." I say, starting to feel run down from today.
"Hey, maybe I can talk to Dean Lockhart and see if I can get you in Psychology and Dark Arts early." She winks.
"Really? Oh my god that'd be amazing!" I shout.
Stella smiles.
"Hey Dracula."
I turn to look and see Lilith standing before me. Her voice is husky and silvery mixed into one.
"Oh hey Lil." I say with a smile.
"What are you two up too?" She asks nonchalantly.
"Nothing, Stella was gonna show me some of the activities and stuff like that." I tell her.
"Mind if I tag along?" She asks us.
"Sure why not?" Stella says walking over.
"Sweet, thanks guys." She smiles through black lips.
---
"That was so fun!" I say in excitement.
"I really liked book club...Edgar Allen Poe poems and stories are amazing!"
Lilith and Stella both laugh at my nerdy side.
"I'm sorry I appreciate good literature, un like you uncultured swine!" I shout at them jokingly while I wave my pale fist in the air.
Stella smiles and Lilith nudges me playfully.
We all walk back to our living quarters together.
When we get closer we notice; Erica and Jasmine standing outside my dorm complex.
"What's wrong?" I ask them when we approach closer.
"Oh. Nothing. Just enjoying the fall of night, the moon has risen and it's giving off so much energy." Erica says, as she pushes up her glasses. Then she out stretches her arms and closes her eyes. As if she was soaking up the moon beams.
"I'm just practicing my singing." Jasmine says with a bright smile.
"Jasmine, may I ask you something?" I ask quickly.
She ceases her honey sweet singing voice and responds to my request.
"Ya, go for it."
"Why did you come to Bloodlust?" I ask innocuously.
"I actually came to study medicine, like become a doctor." She tells me, in a song-song voice.
By looking at her you'd never think that she would be into medicine. But people surprise you, despite their appearance. Well unless they are the 3 evils then you can just sense it. They are no good.
I turn to Lilith.
"What are you hoping to take?" I ask.
"Same as you and Stella. Psychology, and the Dark Arts." She informs.
I nod.
"And Erica you're obviously here for the Dark Arts." I smile.
"Of course." She says happily.
Hopefully Lilith and I are in the same class, as for Erica too. I really like Lilith. In fact I like all of these girls. Especially Stella.
I glance over at her. The moon light lighting up her flawless face. Her black hair has the sheen of the moon light streaked along her long mane. She breathes in deep. Taking in the cool night air. The stars shine bright under us. It's beautiful. They twinkle and dance along the dark night sky. I see a streak and make a wish.

May the next four years be the most amazing years of my life.
