Dedicated to ClaireValdez for being an awesome author. Your PJO/HP fanfiction inspired me to write this fanfiction, and you comment really made my day. Thanks a million!
"Do you guys see the Doric and Ionic columns? The four towers also completely support the structure, and the foundation base is perfect! I didn't expect that the stones would be able to withstand weathering, but they must have used magic to fortify it. Maybe when I move to the temples for Oly-" Annabeth said with eyes glittering before Percy once again shoved a blue cookie into her mouth. She glared at him before eating the cookie.
She looked slightly embarrassed that she had, in her rant, almost gave away their true identity. Hermione and Harry had glanced at Annabeth suspiciously, but quickly dismissed it. She instead asked, as she had in the train to the others, "Isn't it weird that we did not have to buy anything for DADA?" Sadly, everyone ignored her. The demigods stepped out of the train and onto the platform, where many other students had gathered. They left their luggage on the train, having been informed by The Golden Trio beforehand.
"You Mudblood coming back again? Pity, I was hoping that you wouldn't come back. After all, your precious mommy and daddy forgot about you." A white-blond teen walked towards us, a smirk dominating his face. "Shut it, Malfoy." Hermione said with malice. The boy turned to the demigods. "What are you, pureblood, halfblood or mudblood?" Jason gritted his teeth and said, "We are all half-bloods." Percy snickered at the irony. The teen continued, "It doesn't matter. What matters is your decision. If you join me, I can help you get popular, which you won't be while hanging around mudbloods and blood traitors." Harry shouted, "Shut it Malfoy. If you haven't noticed, your popularity went down the drain after the war and I strongly advise you to stop harassing new kids. If I see you threatening the other students..." He let the threat hang in the air. Annabeth stepped forward and looked, puzzled, at Malfoy.
Suddenly, she beamed brightly and hugged him. "Draco! How have you been? I haven't seen you since I was eleven, before Percy came. So far, your acting skills haven't changed. I knew you went on a quest, but I didn't expect to see you here!" Harry, Ron and Hermione looked shocked at her outburst and their jaws dropped open. "Annie! I have been good. This was actually my quest: to go undercover with my mom, who is actually a witch, and my stepfather, who is also a wizard, as Voldywart's allies to minimise the damage caused. We've been working with Dumbledore to keep Harry alive." He hugged back, before letting Annabeth go.
He looked at Harry, who still looked as if he was struck by lightning. "I'm so sorry Harry, Ron, Hermione, for all my insults. I had to, or else my cover would have been blown. Can you forgive me?" Harry said, "Err...This is a surprise. I guess if Annabeth trusts you then I shall. But if I see for a moment that you go back to your old ways..." Draco smiled and vowed, "I swear by the River Styx." Thunder rumbled, which snapped Ron and Hermione out of their daze. "FIRS' YEARS OVER 'ERE! FOLLOW ME TO THE BOATS!"
A 11 foot, six inch giant called out at the end of the platform. Harry walked over to him, so the rest of the group followed. "Hey Hagrid." Harry greeted. "How ya doin', Harry, Ron, Hermione." Ron and Hermione beamed at him. "Who are your friends?" "We are the American Exchange Students. I assume that you are Rubeus Hagrid, keeper of the grounds at Hogwarts?" Kristie said. "Aye, tha' would be me. How didja know?" Annabeth whispered something in her ear and Kristie bit her lip before saying, "Um... A random guess?" Hagrid did not seem to notice her uncertainty and simply boomed, "Alrighty. You guys are following the rest of the students in the carriages."
Kristie's POV (I haven't done a lot of these)
Hermione nodded and walked over to a stone and gravel pathway, where many carriages were situated. Pulling the carriages were black winged horses. They looked like they had no meat, just skin and bones. A black membrane covered their skeletal wings. The two that were pulling the carriage that we were about to take turned their heads in the direction of Percy and bowed their heads. Percy stepped back and raised a hand, looking mortified. I snickered. Should've taken a picture. The horse-thingies backed up and stood up straight.
