Dedicated to dancingsprite, my all-time fav cousin. Thanks for all the fun times, including the recent Youtube challenges that we did on Boxing Day. Your writing may need improvement, but still stay your cheerful self, and don't make us worry when you have mood swings again. /(^.^)/ Thanks for being my cousin, my friend, and a sister that I never had.

~The night before~

Their common room had a brick fireplace at the very end, the bricks being enchanted ones from Hecate. Around the fireplace were soft plush couches and loveseats. On the opposite side of the tower was a huge boulder not unlike the one that was the entrance to Bunker Nine. On its right, there was a spiral staircase that presumably led to the dorms. Leo put his hand onto the boulder and with a rumble, the boulder rolled to the left.

Within it was a rack of steel and copper weapons, enough to equip a class and looked like they would last until Leo made enough weapons to supply the entire school. Beside it was a forge with huge lumps of Imperial Gold and Celestial Bronze, with a forging table and forging equipment lining the wall. Leo grinned impishly. "Well, at least I will never get bored."

The others followed Percy to the dorms. There were five rooms, two to each. There were two on each side of the corridor, one right in front. There were signs on the doors, signifying which room house which people. First on the left was Percy and Annabeth's room, followed by Kristie and Leo's. First on the left was Jason and Piper's, then Hazel and Frank's. The room at the very end belonged to Nico and Kenna's. They bid each other good night before turning in.

  Kenna POV

I walked with Nico to our room, glancing sideways at him throughout. He seemed a little nervous, seeing as he had to teach tomorrow, and also that he was separated with Will. As we stepped into the room, I stopped. The room was divided in half, half being mine and the other being Nico's. Two beds were pushed together to form one, though there was a divider curtain down the centre in case we wanted our privacy. There were two desks and parchment paper on each of them.

There was also a wardrobe with a extendable charm placed on it. The wallpaper and decorations were left for us to decorate. Off the side were two doors that both led to a bathroom each. Knowing Nico, I conjured a platform and leant it diagonally against the wall, leaving the space outside the desk, the wardrobe and the bed in darkness. The space was big enough to comfortably fit over ten people in case of needed emergency shadow-travel. Nico nodded at me and quirked an almost indiscernible smile. I just smiled brightly in response.

These past few weeks I have been practicing a lot with the Ares cabin, and found a few that actually were not as bad as the rumours say. Surprisingly, I found Clarisse to be sort of caring towards her fellow campers, although she expresses it in a rough way. She just acts tough to protect the camp and its campers. As close as we are, I have also been training a lot with Sheepy and found myself being friends with Nico. I guess, as Chiron once told me, I have a flair for figuring people out and their intentions. As for Nico, I became a sister figure, a dependable rock. I always knew what he needed and meant, though he may not show it. I can tell he was once brooding about not belonging anywhere and having no one to rely on, but Will made him see the light again. I have experienced the feeling of abandonment, so I can relate to Nico. I am really happy for them, though Nico point blank refuses to acknowledge any relationship between him and Will.

Back to the present, I placed my clothes inside the wardrobe and went to the bathroom to change. Seeing as Nico just changed into a shirt and jeans, I clicked my tongue and pointed to the pyjamas that I bought for him on a shopping trip. I forced him to expand his wardrobe to besides shirts and jeans, which he only had two pairs of. He just glared at me and went to change again. I just plopped down on the bed and sighed. Well, I hope this helps him to open up more, I can't stand the idea of him being away from his light for too long.
