Remember Me? (A Riker Lynch/R5 Fanfiction)

Desiree's POV

"How can you say that to him?" I ask Jessica, the most popular girl in school. "He's got feelings just like you," you actually wouldn't believe how much I'm in this situation. I stick up for the kids who can't protect themselves. "Oh yeah, I forgot. You don't have feelings. All that's in your chest is a cold hard rock. But it's realer than what's on top of your chest," she gasps, taken aback by my words.

I strut away, all eyes on me. I hear that boy whisper thank you. I'm feeling good, I love what I do. I smirk at the awestruck students around me, my eyes set on an empty table in the corner in the cafeteria. But in the blink of an eye I'm tripped, my lunch spills all over the person in front of me and I land on the floor. They gasp loudly, and so does the rest of the people inside the cafeteria.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you okay?" I look up to see Riker, the top dog at our school.

He wipes the mashed potatoes of his eyes and looks at me. He grabs me by my hoodie and slams me up against the wall, my converse lifting off the floor. I wince in pain.

"You have no idea what you just got yourself into," he growls into my ear so only I can hear. "You can guarantee that I will make your life a living hell. You better watch your back," he jabs his elbow into my ribs and I cry out.

He let's go and I fall to the floor. He walks to the bathroom to clean himself off. The room starts spinning, and my vision gets blurry. Ouch. Jessica I can handle, but Riker? He's too strong, I can't fight back. I try my best to avoid him. I wish I could stand up to him, but I might as well declare my death to the whole school because with Riker, you're pretty much setting yourself up for it.

Now he was going to ruin my life. And my reputation, because I can't do anything about him. I would be bullied and hit and pummeled every single day. And there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.
