June 13th,

"Ten days Asher!" My friend Mandie said referring to what will be the best night of my life, our 5 seconds of summer concert date that we have been waiting to go to since Christmas.

"I know I can't wait!" I said hopping into the drivers seat of my dads truck and she gets in the passenger seat. He's letting me use it for today so we can go to the mall and go shopping for next Saturday. We're both gonna be busy all next week with college applications and setting up for graduation which is next Friday, a week from tomorrow. So why not get it done today?

"Plug in your phone" I told her, the drive to the mall we are going to is a good half an hour drive, there is one about 15 minutes closer but this on is larger and we don't go here that often. And we like to listen to our music whenever we get a chance. Our other friends don't like what we listen too, they like 5sos kinda but not anything else.

She presses shuffle on her playlist and drown by bring me the horizon comes on, I turned it up and started jamming out.

Once the song was over I turned it down so we can actually hear each other. "So when is your school tour?" I asked starting a conversation. Mandie recently got accepted into The School Of Toronto Dance Theatre, the best dance school in Ontario. She's going to be able to dance, learn theatre, perform in shows and concerts. After this summer she's going to be super busy. She's going to achieve her goal of becoming a dancer and make a living out of it, I'm proud of her. But I just don't want to drift apart it's my biggest worry.

"It's on Tuesday at 2 so I'm going to be skipping school" she replied "did you get accepted or?"

Unlike Mandie I do not have my whole future planned out. I only applied for this school about a month ago so I'll be soon finding out if I'm in or not. I'm going in for mainly photography but I'm also gonna take a art, music, English and a creative writing class. That's if I get in. I have no idea what I'm going to do if I don't. These are things I'm passionate for so I want to continue learning them and get better at. And then make a career out of it.

"Im not sure yet, I think I'll find out on Monday"

"You'll get in, I don't see why you wouldn't" she assured me.

I guess she's right, my grades were okay and it seemed like my interview went well. "Yeah hopefully. The only problem is that it's like 45 minutes away from your school"

She stayed silent for a while "that's not gonna stop us from being friends we'll still see each other. It's not like we're gonna have school everyday"

I swallowed the lump in my throat, just thinking about not talking to Mandie anymore upsets me. She's been my friend ever since 7th grade it'll be weird not talking to her. "Yeah we're gonna make time to see each other. We have the weekends"

"Right" she smiled looking over at me and I glance back. "Right"

I got home around 6:30 and I walked into the smell of fresh baked cookies. I followed the smell into the kitchen where it was coming from and see mom baking cookies with Bekkah. "You guys made cookies without me" I said a little disappointed.

"Sorry kid, we didn't know what time you were gonna be home and Bekkah has volleyball at 7:45" mom apologized taking the pan out of the oven placing in onto the counter to let them cool.

"Oh it's no big deal as long as I get to have one"

She laughed softly and shook her head a little "of course you can have one, you just have to wait for them to cool"

"Okay, I'm gonna take my bags down and plug in my phone, it died while we were getting supper"

I took my bags and made my way down to my room. My bedroom is in the basement which I don't mind at all. I basically have the whole basement to myself, there's a little entertainment area with a couch, tv, and a Xbox. There's also a fridge and and island bar and a bathroom. Plus my actual bedroom. I find it pretty great.
