The moon fox and the sun wolf

Chp.1

     Hey guys author here! So just wanna say 'hi!' And thank you for checking out my story. So thank you. I'm going be slow at updating because I'm writing 6 other stories right now so it'll be awhile but I promise I'll give long chapters. 10 page minimum. So I'll just stop typing in bold and you can read the story, unless of course you skipped this part, then you're already reading the story... Well I hope you enjoy!!!

Many years ago there were many werewolves and werefoxes that thrives in the world. The werefoxes were small in numbers in comparison to the werewolves, but the two species lived in happiness and coexisted fine. Foxes were only in two packs: the Star pack which was of foxes and wolves, and the Moon pack which was only of foxes. The Moon pack was one of the top two strongest packs in all the lands, only the Sun pack, which was I only wolves, was stronger. The packs lived together in harmony, which was important for the moon, sun, and stars. All the packs controlled some aspects of the sky. Sun controlled the sun, giving light to the day. The Star pack controlled all the stars in the night sky, and Moon controlled the moon, making it glow beautiful every night. That was about to change.

11 years ago the Moon and Star packs shared much of the same land, in the years past, the two packs had grown quite close and they worked together to make the night sky beautiful. The alpha of the Moon, Alpha Opa, a white fox, a waited for Alpha for Star pack; Alpha Bates. Usually Alpha Opa would grow tried of waiting but today he had some excited news for his so called 'friend.'
"Ah! Alpha Bates! At last you're here, what great news I have to tell you, my daughter has just been chooses to be the new Moon Luna. You'll never guess who was chosen, my youngest: Princess London!"
"Princess London eh?"
"Yes! She has the Royal Moon mark; she'll be the next Moon Luna. Isn't that fantastic news! I know she'll just as good as her mother is; she already just as beautiful as her. Vixen is excited too, I've never seen her so proud of her baby sister."
"'The new moon Luna?' You must be ever proud."
"Of course! I know you're pack worried when Vixen didn't receive the Royal mark, but I know London will make the sky even more beautiful than all our ancestors combined."
"Indeed Alpha Opa. Say have you thought about the offer I proposed to you?"
"Oh I quickly looked it over, but Vixen wanted to play tea party and swords, so I could only skim it."
"You could only skim it?" Alpha Bates mutter through this teeth annoyed.
"Yeah. If you're mate hadn't kidded you to the curb you'd be going through the same thing now too!" Alpha Opa laughed hardly patting his friend's shoulder.
"Yes. If only..." Alpha Bates spoke more and more through his teeth; the fox was getting more and more on his nerves. He hated when the idiot moon fox brought up Charlotte.
"Well allow me to tell what it was about-"
"I know what it was about, and I can't pass it."
"What!"
"It could never work Bates. The moon and stars work together to light the night. The stars can't do it alone. The world would be dark and scary, wolves and foxes would only like the day. The Sun pack can't have all the credit for being beautiful. We deserve some too!"
"But Opa, don't you think it's time for a change? Why be beautiful when you can be feared."
"Why would we want to be feared? There's nothing beautiful about that. The night should be as beautiful as the Mon goddess herself. Granted she more beautiful than all nights put together, but still beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Don't say beautiful anymore!" The Star Alpha couldn't take it anymore." You're a man for criss shakes! How can anyone respect an Alpha when they're as stupid as you!"
Alpha Opa was shocked. His friend had never spoken to him like that." Bates... I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Just shut up you pathetic old man!" The Alpha had been planning to do this later in the evening but his temper had gotten the better of him, it was time for his wolves to act. He howled to his wolves letting them know now was the time to ask. Alpha looked at Alpha Bates wide eyed." Bates? What are you doing?" Alpha Bates smiled evilly. He grabbed a letter opener from the desk." I'm sick and tired of you and your pathetic foxes getting in my way! I don't want share the sky with the foxes, you're not worthy of its power! You are a disgrace to the Alpha foxes' of all Moon packs past! You don't understand the Star and Moon clans could be so much more than what you've restricted us to!"
"Bates if this about letting you not control the night sky, I'm sorry but you know only the moon foxes can handle it."
"You idiot! This isn't about that! It's about the Sun pack!"
"Oh moon goddess here we go again! You can't go to war with them. They're too powerful! I won't ever sign an agreement putting my foxes' lives on the land. Just because you're a power hungry freak doesn't mean my foxes have to get killed for it!" Alpha Opa regretted what he just said the minute it left his mouth.
"What did you just call me?" Alpha Bates eyes' went black.
"Bates, I didn't mean-"
Those where the last words Alpha Opa said. Alpha Bates ran the letter opener threw his heart before he could even finish his sentence.
"You stupid old man," the Alpha fox slide to the floor." If I can't have you're foxes, then I at least have all the territory we shared, and with you and the rest of Moon foxes gone; I can control the night sky."
Alpha Bates removed the letter opener from the fox, he was about to leave the office, when their stood in front of him was the Beta pair if the foxes. They saw their Alpha on the floor in a puddle of blood. The Beta female race to him, she was a great sorceress with a gift in the art of healing.
"Don't waste you're time Beta." The Alpha moved at eye blinking speed to behind the Beta male, stabbing him as well with the same knife as what killed his Alpha.
The fox scream in agony at the sign of her love falling to the ground dead. The Alpha looked to watch her suffer in pain. One of his wolves howled, probably his Beta, the Alpha left the office satisfied with his kill.
Meanwhile the Luna fox tried her best to protect her daughters. Both not even 10, Vixen 9 and London 7. She knew something was wrong with her mate, she could feel it through their bond. She needed to shift and find him, and protect her foxes. The wolves they had coexisted with for so many where now attacking any fox in sight. The Luna fox always thought that the Moon and Sun packs where one in the same, now she knew she was wrong all along.
"Mommy?" He eldest daughter knew something was wrong.
"Hush my child. Don't worry I'll be back soon. You stay in you're hiding place until me or Daddy comes gets you and your sister. What over her Vixen, I'm counting on you."
She kissed Vixen head.
"Mommy, please don't go. You said we where going to have a party tonight, remember?"
"I know London and I'm sorry this didn't work out, but don't worry we'll have a giant party after all this yelling and being meanie pants stuff is all done, okay?"
Luckily London always believed what her mother said, she nodded, still frowning because she was sad they couldn't celebrate her becoming the next Luna.
"I love you both very much. Stay together and if someone comes-"
"Go through the tunnel behind the wall." They finished.
"That's my girls." She kissed them one last time before hiding them in the old fake cabinet in the den. She looked back at the cabinet, knowing deep down in her heart she was never going to see her girls again.
