The moon fox and the sun wolf

Chp.2

I run day and night towards that smell. It gets stronger and stronger the more I go west. I've been running for days now getting closer and closer to the smell. I know this absolutely crazy that I'm spending so much time on this one stupid smell, but I can't get it out of my head. This sent is important I know it is, I just know.

"And this is where you'll all come up and get your diplomas, then you'll shake hands with the principal, myself, and then finally the alpha!"
Oh joy! This is probably one of the worst days I've had this entire year. Today we've been going through graduation and the ceremony, we've gone through this several times because no one is paying attention. Everyone is busy with their mates. Everyone but me of course.
"Leocadio?" The dean is a small little man, only 4" 7' and his voice is just as small. If I didn't have my wolf hearing I probably wouldn't have heard him.
"It's Leo sir."
I maybe the next alpha but technically I'm still a pup and need to show respect to those older than me.
"Of course Leocadio." Why do bother.
I hate my name. I really do. It sounds like a fake name. It's two names mushed together: "Leo" and then "cadio." My parents couldn't agree on a name for me, my mother wanted Leonardo and my father wanted Cadio. My mother wanted to give me a normal name, my father wanted to give be me the traditional alpha male of the Sun Pack name. The two then decided to combine the two and we got: Leocadio. I tell everyone to call me "Leo" but everyone calls me "Leocadio" because I'm the alpha and not calling me by full name is a sign of disrespect.
"Leocadio?" The dean says again snapping me back to reality.
"Huh?"
"Would you like to practice getting your diploma? I need to have one of you guys practice and well everyone else is..." We look around and see all the couples kissing their mates. Some couples are going even further then that.
"Would you please practice it'll give you something to do."
"Fine." I stand up and walk on the stage. We are having the graduation outside. It's mid- June and the outside is where we werewolves feel the most comfortable at. The ceremony will be in mid-afternoon, when the sun is at its highest. We use to do the ceremony in the evening and then the Moon and Star Packs would join us and it'd be a giant get together of all three main packs, but this was before the Moon Pack disappeared 11 years ago. Ever since then the Star Pack has gone, well... A little crazy. The pack is now a mess, they took over the Moon Pack's old land and run amok every night. They stay far away from the Sun Pack luckily. They fear we'll use the sun's power to destroy them. What they don't know is that since the Moon Pack has disappeared so did the moon, and the sun hasn't been the same ever since. The sun and moon have been together since before werewolves were even on the earth, many say they were even in love, and together they shielded the world from the rest of the universe protecting it and everything living on it. Now the sun is the only left to shield the world. Sometimes I swear I can hear the sun talking. Usually at dawn, it always sounds sad and lonely. Maybe when I'm finally alpha I'll be able to talk to the sun and ask it. I know that sounds crazy talking to a giant thing of fire, but I know I can talk to it! I think my parents talk to it, one day when I was little and the moon had just recently disappeared, the two of them went into an old room of the mansion. It was a giant wooden door that had hand carved Suns and moons one it. The door is always locked, but on that one night I saw my parents go inside the room. It was after the sun has set and the stars were out. I don't what happened inside that room, but I know my parents go in that room every night and emerge with the morning sun.
Suddenly I hear the bell from inside the school along with all the under class men flooding out of the school.
"Alright seniors, yes you tomorrow afternoon. Remember to be in you're cap and gown when you get here!" The dean yells that as my class runs like the rest of the school.

I head to the parking lot expecting the Beta to pick me up. My parents are always tired during the day so the don't leave the mansion much, but to my surprise the Beta isn't waiting for me today instead it's
"Come on now Leo, don't make your mother wait so long, I ain't getting no younger here."
"Hi mom."
"About time you got here. I swear you're just as slow as your father. One time he spend a whole two hours making sure he had all these papers we needed for some kind and of meeting. Or maybe he was busy looking for some of the papers?"
"Mom, why are you here?"
"Do I need a reason to pick my son up from school?"
"You haven't picked me up since I was 6."
I see the pain in her face. I shouldn't have brought that up.
She tries to hide it and return to her usual smile."well no matter. What's important is that you and me are together now, and we've got to get you ready for your big day."
This can't be good." What do mean we have to get me ready."
"This is a formal event this graduation and you have no suits in your closet. I checked this morning after you left." I threw out all of them. I hate suits! They're probably one of the worst inventions made by werewolves, or whoever made them.
"Come on sweetie. We haven't a moment to waist. Come come!"
Oh great this is just great.
