The Vampire's Little Mate

I don't remember when we fell asleep together between the passionate kisses and the exchanging of little nothings. But we did, and I've never slept so well in all of my life.

I stared at Rudy's expressionless face, remembering how awful I was to the girl that brought him home. She shouldn't have been touching him, to.begin with, but she did bring him home. I suppose I had to thank her.

Rudy looked younger, almost innocent in a way. His face was smooth, no lines formed from his scowling and furrowing brows. I smiled as he buried his face into my side.

I love you.

He'd said that to me, and I'd immediately responded with the same words. Did I really love him? Yes, of course, but I didn't realize I'd fall so quickly for him.

Rudy's eyes fluttered open, and his gaze held me. He didn't say anything, just smiled and I mirrored him. It felt like forever ago, yesterday. I could almost forget I didn't know where he'd gone. Almost.

"Rudy..." I said quietly, my smile slipping away.

He immediately sat up, and grabbed my hands in his. "What's wrong, mi amor?"

"W-where were you yesterday?" I stammered out. "Why was that girl-" I made a disgusted face, "with you?"

Rudy sighed. "I went to a bar, honey, I got drunk off my ass. I ran into Penny after I got kicked out of the filthy place, mi amor, she took me right away. I wasn't in a state to drive."

I looked away from him, hurt that he'd left in the first place. "You left me all alone, Rudy. I wanted, no, I needed you!"

He grabbed me be my waist and pulled me into his lap while I struggled to get away from him. Rudy held me tightly, keeping me from squirming.

"Stop it," he growled into my ear. "Be a good girl, and stop fighting me." I stopped, unsure if I could handle his anger. "Good," he kissed my neck just once. "Honey... I was ashamed of myself. I'd hurt you, you were trying to get away from me and I just kept drinking. I almost killed you."

I shivered at the thought. Could he have really killed me?

"And instead I'd turned you into a vampire without your consent. I didn't give you the choice of setting the date for you, I didn't give you the big party you would've wanted to celebrate your change," he whispered, his breath tickling my ear. "Mi amor, the worst part is I could've killed you. I didn't think I could stop, I could feel you slipping away but the high I was on at the taste of your blood made it hard to pull away."

I turned my body to face Rudy, and I can see his eyes watering. I pull myself up, and sit facing him, my legs spread as I sit on his lap.

"Rodolfo," I whisper. I kiss both his cheeks, stopping the tears from marring his beautiful face. "I may have been sad and scared, but I was sad because I thought I'd have some time to find closure before shutting that door in my life. I was scared because I wasn't sure how'd I'd feel, if I'd change, if you'd change."

His eyes soften, as he crushes me against his chest in a hug. We stay like that for a few seconds before he pulls back and slams his lips against mine. Rudy's lips are rough, and his tongue keeps lapping over my lips for entrance. I part my lips a little, and Rudy wastes no time taking control making me gasp.

Every part of me is on fire, and I know he feels the same. His hands wrap around me, clutching my bum, making me squeal. His grip tightens and I moan into his mouth.

I whimpered when he pulled away from and rested his head on my forehead with a lazy smile. "I love you so damn much, Dinah."

"I love you more, Rudy." I press my lips against his again. We go on making out till we hear the doorbell ring. "Who is that?"

"Oh... I forgot to tell you. Some of my friends are coming over to meet my beautiful, amazing mate," he replies, smiling brightly at me.
