Merrisa's pov:
Once i got home i ran up to my room and slammed the door shut. I cried into my pillow thinking why did i have to leave. Soon my dad came in. "Hey dad." i said quickly wiping my tears.
He didn't say anything instead he dragged me and pushed me against the refrigerator. Then he tries taking my shirt off. "DAD LET ME GO." i yell i look over at the table filled with empty bottles of beer.
I pushed him away and he fell on the floor. A glass vase crashed on his head. I grabbed my phone and ran away from my house.
As i was running i bumped into caleb. "Sorry caleb i did not mean to bump into you." i said. "No it is okay i am glad you did, what is wrong?"
"Im sorry i wasn't mad at you i was just a little shocked of what happened today with that girl and my dad."
I replied "wait what did your dad do?" he said concerned
"He-he tried to rape me." i said quietly. Caleb wrapped his arms around me "enough is enough, i won't let anything happen to you no more, i will always protect you." he said causing me to smile.
"Do you wanna come over my house?" he asked "sure." i replied and he grabbed my hand and we started walking.
Once we were here he lead me inside were i met his parents, sisters, and dogs.
They were all so nice to me.
Annie wanted to show me some gymnastics so i of course let her. He got on the bars and started doing kips and i was amazed at everything. She was really good.
"Did you like it?" she asked
"Yes, you are so better than me at gymnastics." i replied smiling.
We all went outside and played. And when it was getting darker i had to leave.
Caleb gave me a hug and so did annie and hayley. I said goodbye to billy and katie and made my to my house.
I saw my dad sleeping on the couch. So i shut the door quietly and made my way to my room.
