As I entered the classroom, I was surprised to see Naruto after what I heard about last night. I guess he wasn't going to be in trouble for stealing the secret scroll from the Hokage. Huh. Anyways, I was about to talk to him until Iruka-Sensei began class.
"Alright, " Iruka sensei announced, "today you will be assigned squads and assigned teachers. Today is an important day because-" I knew his speech was going to be boring so I looked around the room. Naruto looked at Sakura. Of course he wanted her on his team. I wonder who will be on my team? Well, I didn't really care as long as they were nice to me.
Then Iruka started calling the teams. I didn't really pay any attention, since Naruto liked to distract me. Of course, he stopped when his name was called.
"On team, 7 Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno..." Naruto eyes gleamed in victory, while Sakura fell into a state of depression."...And Sauske Uchiha." Naruto now was depressed while Sakura rose in victory. I never though there was that much difference between them. They just fight, a lot.
"Next, team 8, Hinata Huyga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame." I knew Kiba, he was the one that has his dog everywhere he goes. Although I didn't know much about Shino, whenever I saw him, big were involved in some way. Whatever, people have different interests I guess. Hinata was the shyest person I have ever known. I didn't know much about her.
Anyway, Iruka then announced the next squad " Team 10 is: Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi." Ino is the exact opposite of Hinata . She is always fighting with Sakura, mostly over Sauske. Shikamaru is clearly the smartest kid in the class, even if he doesn't try most of the time. Choji.....he just eats a lot.
So then I waited for my name to be called, I wondered who my new teammates would be. Iruka ran through a list of names so generic, I didn't even remember any of them. He eventually ran through everyone and was about to put his list away until I spoke up.
"Iruka-Sensei, what about me?" I asked politely, despite being anxious.
"Huh, that's strange,"Iruka replied surprised,"I can't find you anywhere on here."
Well typical, this is how my luck usually turns out. "So what now?" I asked, dreading the answer he was going to give. He just sorta shrugged and motioned me to get out of the class. Again, typical.
After the entire village was empty, Iruka-Sensei finally came out of the classroom. " So? What's the deal Iruka-Sensei?" I asked impatiently.
He seemed a little bothered by that question, which wasn't a good sign. " Well, since there is an odd number of people in my class, you won't be paired with anyone from my class, so we are just going to pair you with the two other extras from different classes."
I asked him who my sensei would be, he didn't know. I asked him who the extras were, he didn't know. I asked him if I was going to meet them today, he didn't know. I asked him where I was supposed to go, he did know and told me that it was in the last classroom down the hall. He was nice enough to wish me luck though, which is why I liked him as a teacher.
I took the walk of shame past all of the empty classrooms, all of them have all ready met their sensei and were probably being trained right now, while I was still in this prison. As I reached the door, a little hope rose in my chest. Maybe they weren't so bad after all.
