Chapter 18 - The Rescue Team

Back at the ball, the others had begun to panic. Timothy had both Beckett and Rebecca. What on Earth could the ten of them do? There were a few choices. But neither of them seemed very smart. The first was they could go back to the Lake of Tears and tell Holly, Sean and Merlin what had happened, or they could go straight to the castle to save their friends. On the other hand, it might be smarter to have the adults help them. They decided the Lake was the better choice.
"It was really nice seeing you again, Zackary, but we really have to leave." Casey said curtsying to Zack before turning and running out the door with her friends. "CASEY! Wait!!" Zack called, running after them.
Outside, everything was going smoothly until Casey lost her shoe. Naturally, she had to lose her shoe. However, after losing her shoe she found herself off balance in the one high heeled slipper she had left and she fell into her friends who were running down the stairs in front of her. And then they all tumbled down the stairs, except for Wiley who was standing at the bottom laughing his head off at them. Being a wolf, he got super speed and he had been on the ground and watched the entire thing.
"Ugh, Nice going, Cinderella. You just had to lose your shoe didn't you?" Tessa demanded irritatedly. Someone laughed and they all looked back towards the stairs. Zack stood at the step Casey had lost her shoe, He bent over a picked it up, chuckling. He held it gingerly in his hand and he walked down the stairs. "Aren't you forgetting something, Cinderella?" He asked, putting on his character act and kneeling down in front of her. Casey held out foot for him to slip on the shoe. "You know, if this fits I have to marry you." He said. Casey giggled.
"Oh, of course." She said. Zackary slipped the shoe gently and carefully onto Casey's petite foot and stood back on his feet. "There. Perfect fit. Anyways, where were you guys going in such a hurry?" He asked. Everyone had gotten to their feet at this point. "We were on our way to save our friends. Beckett and Rebecca. King Timothy has them and we have to get them back." Wiley said. Zack looked at each of them confused. "Right, and who is King Timothy?" He asked carefully like the words were poison.
"He's this crazy king, that is really out to get Rebecca for something that she didn't do that he blames her for." Hector explained. Just then the clock struck Midnight. "If we're going back to the Lake need to go now! That portal will only be open a few moments." Baylee said quickly ushering everyone around the corner of the castle. Casey was about to start running in that direction when Zack caught her wrist. "I want to help." He said. Casey smiled and twisted her hand, so she held his. "Come on then, We've got a portal to catch." She said running after her friends. They made it just in time. The portal brought them all back to the Lake of Tears and dumped them all in a heap. "Oh thank goodness! You're back!" Sarah exclaimed jumping to her feet. She had been sitting on the edge of the lake reading a book. Holly had taken the baby inside the house and Sean and Merlin were deep in discussion, but looked up as soon as the teenagers arrived. Holly came out of the cottage, with the baby in hand. "What happened?" She asked when she saw their discouraged faces, handing Sarah back the baby.
"Timothy was there and he got Rebecca and Beckett then we explained everything to Zack and then the portal opened and here we are." Wiley explained. It took a moment for that to sink in, but as soon as it did a little man appeared out of nowhere. Wiley yelped and jumped away from the little man tripping on his own feet and falling on his butt. "Oh no. No no no no no." Sarah mumbled. The little man smirked.
"Hello again, my dear." He said to Sarah taking a step towards her. Sarah backed up a couple steps. "You stay away from us." she said.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. Until I get my prize." The little man said taking another step towards Sarah. Everyone looked back and forth from Sarah and the little man. Wiley and Casey being the only two who knew Sarah's story understood who this was. The little man was none other than Rumplestiltskin. "Uh, Sarah..who is this?" Hector asked for everyone who didn't understand. Before Sarah could answer Wiley did. "This is Rumpelstiltskin." The little man smirked and bowed.
"Yes, that is who I am. Now where is my reward?" He asked once again taking a step towards Sarah. Sarah held the baby closer to her chest. "You can't have him!" She said.
"Oh, so it's a boy is it? Hmm..let me think of boy names and you have to have already named him or it's not fair! Also, I get three days of guessing so really it might be better if you just hand him over now." Rumpelstiltskin said.
Sarah's face turned from oh no to heck to the no. "Never. And you get three guesses not three days!" Sarah said. That confused the little man for a moment.
"No, I get three days."
"Nu-uh, it's three guesses. Am I right guys?" She asked glancing hopefully at her friends. Luckily, they all caught on to what she was pleading and nodded. Rumplestiltskin still did not look pleased."I don't think thats right, It's not fair to only get three guesses." He complained. Sarah snorted and then covered her mouth with one of her hands. "Fair? Nothing is fair with you!" She said. Rumplestiltskin smirked and crossed his arms.
"Very well, three guesses it is, smart girl." He said after a moment. Sarah took a deep breath. "Well..start guessing..I guess." Sarah said quietly. Rumplestiltskin thought for a few moments and began pacing back and forth. Sarah found her way back over to the others who were all watching her. "What now?" Casey asked as Wiley all of a sudden pulled Sarah and the baby into a hug.
"Are you okay?" Wiley asked after he let her go. Sarah was confused but she nodded. "I am for now..but..What if..I.." Sarah cut herself off and bit her lip to keep herself from crying. Wiley pulled Sarah into another hug and awkwardly patted her head. "There, there" he said. Sarah giggled softly. "AHA!" Rumplestiltskin cried."Wait, where did you go?"
"Over here, you troll." Wiley said. Rumplestiltskin turned around and smirked as his gaze fell upon Sarah, totally ignoring Wiley.
"I have my guesses ready." He said. Sarah took a deep shaky breath. "Go ahead." She said quietly. Rumplestiltskin jumped up and down for a moment and then guessed his three guesses. "Mater, Billy Bob, and Jonathan!" He said. Sarah sobbed out a relieved sigh. "No. That's not his name." She said smiling while wiping away tears, holding tightly to the baby with her other hand. Rumpelstiltskin looked outraged and disappeared in a poof. He didn't say anything else because he knew he had lost but as soon as he was gone everyone cheered. "So..uh hey, if you don't mind us asking..What is his name?" Wiley asked. Sarah smiled and handed the baby to Wiley. Wiley held it out away from, looking at her like she had just handed the baby to Rumplestiltskin. Sarah laughed. "Don't be scared, you won't hurt him, and I trust you not to eat him. His name is Oliver Kip. Named after my father, and the baker who took me in when no one else would." Sarah explained. Wiley handed Oliver back to Sarah. "That's a great name and he's adorable but I wouldn't trust him in my hands" Wiley said holding up his hands showing his 'wolf claws.' Sarah smiled and kissed his cheek.
"That was our dad's name." Grace said after a moment. "Mother, always talked about him."
"Maybe, your dad is here, and Sarah knows who he is?" Zack asked. Before Grace could answer, Sean had taken a step closer to Zack. "You look very familiar, boy." He said.
"He looks just like you, when you were a boy, Seany." Holly said after getting a good look at Zackary. After everyone had gotten over the fact that Holly had called Sean, Seany, They noticed the expressions on Sean, Merlin and Holly's faces. "Umm... What is going on here?" Max asked. After getting over their disbelief, Holly and Sean exchanged glances. "Seventeen years ago Reanna gave birth to a baby boy that neither her nor Sean were ready for so the baby was given to a nearby kingdom that was in need of an heir. Two years later they had Rebecca and that's when this whole mess started, however, the longer we ponder over this family issue the longer your friends are in the clutches of evil people. Now, do you want to stand here and fight or would you like to save your friends?" Holly asked. No one answered although there were some very shocked faces in the audience. None more shocked than Zackary. "That's what I thought. Now, Let's go save Beckett and Rebecca."
"Rebecca's not gonna be too happy when she hears about this" Peyton whispered to Baylee. Baylee shook her head. "No way she is." She said as they descended into the tunnels that led to The Castle of Dreams.
