Hello there wattpad people!

I am back :) i had my last exam today and as soon as i got home i started writing. I actually missed writing, which is weird because i don't like english...

Since i stopped writing my past story i've got over 12,000 read which is mental! I really didn't expect such a response being my first story and all. (if you're reading this and haven't read that story check it out please :))

But yeah, this story. I haven't put much thought into where it's going if i'm being honest i've kind of just wrote this random chapter and i'll have to see where it goes from there. I don't even know if i like it because it has a much darker story line than the other fanfic i wrote. So i'd appreciate it if you could all comment on it and give me honest opinions to whether i should scrap this idea and come up with something else? Please let me know if you like it or not. If i don't get a good response i'll just start again and write something new :)

But like we always have to say, i don't own any of You Me At Six in this story i only own my personal characters (i.e Caitlin and her family) and i have no rights over their music and whatever.

But again, please leave me feedback and i hope you enjoy :))

P.S. there are a lot of stories that i have to catch up on so if you think i've abandoned your story i haven't!

Chapter 1

I ran to my room, slamming the door behind me, before reaching under the bed and pulling out my big rucksack. I swung open my wardrobe door and pulled clothes off the hanger, without even looking what they were through my tear filled eyes, and threw them into my bag. I threw in my shoes and underwear then went round my room picking up my most valuable things and the things that meant the most to me. I didn't have much to pick up.

I picked up my photo frame that had pictures of me and my friends in and family members. It might not seem much, a photo frame, but the photos in there were special. I lost my Nan when I was young and that was the only picture I had of myself and her together. I dropped it in my bag before putting the little jewellery I had into a box and threw it in on top of my clothes. I bent down and pulled my laptop and charger out from under the bed and put it into the bag.

I put my laptop bag over my shoulder then my rucksack on my back. I took one last look around my bedroom, tears rolling down my face, before running out down the stairs. For once they weren't sad tears, they were filled with anger instead. I should have done this long ago, gotten out of here. I've put up with dad for so long and I shouldn't have had to. I was his daughter, he should have been caring for me but I had to care for myself. I was nothing to him.

"Caitlin where are you going?" My little sister said standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

"I'll be back soon okay, now you have to make me a promise, right?" I said kneeling down at her. She nodded her head. She looked a lot like dad, let's just hope she doesn't turn out like him. "Please don't tell dad that I've gone out." She looked at me confused.

"Why?" She may only be 4 but she was inquisitive.

"Because..." How could I tell my little sister what he'd done? "I'm going to buy him a present but it's a surprise so you can't tell him okay?" I said trying to smile. Her face lit up and she nodded. "So I must rush, I'll see you soon."

"Bye." She said before kissing my cheek. More tears fell and I ran out the front door into the rain. The thing was I had no idea where I was going. I knew I couldn't walk, my dad isn't stupid. He'd go into my room and see things were gone and he'd be after me; scared I'd reveal his secret. I ran down the streets splashing through the fast growing puddles. My hair was sticking to my face and covering my eyes while my laptop bag and rucksack bounced on my back. I got to the main road and quickly ran across it and carried on through the park.
