"Come on let's go" Max said pulling my arm

"We have to wait for Gracie" I pulled his hand off of my arm

"Speak of the devil and he shall come" will said getting of the wall and greeting Gracie

"Let's goooo" max said pulling us out of the school we took a short cut though the woods which mean we could be in wolf form as we entered the woods we turned I looked at will how was a gray and black wolf I took off and they chased me

"Hey no fair" Gracie said running up next to me

"It so" I said pretending to bite her

"Bring it bitches" Hunter said running past us all I saw was a brown blur

"Hey we aren't pregnant" we chased after him it wasn't really a short cut. It took an hour to get back home but still

"Hey guys come on" I heard from behind us we were catching up to Hunter

"You get left I get right" I said running up to his right side and Gracie ran up to his left "go!" We jumped on him and tackled him and just laughed

"No fair" he snapped his teeth at us and we got off and then herd a gun shot "shit go find Will and Max" we ran off to go get them and Hunter went to go tell the rest we were a half hour out so it would be hard to get back but we knew these woods so we had that advantage

"Guys!" Gracie said running and dodging trees

"Gurrrr" will jumped out from behind a tree

"Will!" I barked not letting him get away with this

"Haha you guys should have see. Your faces" he rolled over laughing

"Yea really where's Max" his laughter stopped and realization hit him "exactly go back to the pack grounds we will find him" I ordered maybe I was cut out to be alpha

"Who made you alpha" he instantly regretted what he said

"Go before I treat you like shit" I growled and he pinned his ears and backed off he the. ran off

"Lee come on let's go" she ran off and I followed

"Max!" I stood up on a rock and looked for him

"Lee we need to get back its getting dark and they are probably flipping about is we will skip tomatoes and search with the rest" I followed her home when we got back we turned back

"Lee Gracie" one of the pack members that knows Max ran up to us

"No nothing" Gracie shook her head and walked to her cabin I walked in to my house and slammed the door I sat on my couch and turned on the radio. Their was a knock at the door

"Come in" I said over the radio I was laying down and I wasn't about to get back up

"Hey Lee we need to talk" I look at my door and it's the alphas mate

"Okay?" She walks over and I sit up and she sits next to me

"Well after you become alpha you need a mate" she starts to explain "I mean one of you will died and if you have a mate the other will still be alive but if you don't and you die they don't have an alpha" I was not going to be excited about this

"Well I already know. When I die will is going to be alpha" I said not willing to get a mate

"Well what if he dies before you?" I groaned

"I don't need or want a mate" she sighed knowing this would take longer

"Please Lee don't argue" she stood back up "you will have a mate like it or not" she walked out of my cabin the rest of the night I couldn't sleep I don't know if it was because of Max or the mate thing. But I'll will hope it's the max thing it came around 3 and I walked out of my house Hunter Gracie Will and Ann were already out their waiting for me we went to the dinning hall and ate and talked about how we would search after we agreed on sticking together we walked back out the rest of the pack was up

"Nows your chance to make your first order" the alpha said putting his hands on my shoulder "go" I walked over and Hunter whistled for every ones attention for me they all turned and looks at me. I looked back at the alpha for reassurance and he nodded

"Max is missing. But we will find him. But I don't want you guys to search for him. We don't need any other getting lost. Will Ann Hunter Gracie and I will look for him" their was silence Hunter put his hands on my shoulders to help me calm down we turned around and went to look for Max once we reached the woods we turned to our wolf form

We searched for hours and found nothing but deer and trees. Not even a paw print of a foot print

"I sear I will beat his ass when we find him" Ann growled

"Let's focus on finding him first" Gracie said walking over to me I hear no movement on our right I look over their and saw no one

"Who's their" I walked over to the bush and out ran a grey wolf I took off after it with my friends behind me after a while of chasing my friends gave up and it was the grey wolf and I. I could hear him panting and then he stopped "who are you?"

"Not who your looking for" he growled at me

"Then who are you?" I didn't back off

"Why aren't you backing off. Haven't your parents told you to stay away from lone wolfs" he started to walk away but I followed

"Well yea but I don't listen" I walked next to him "so do you have a name?"

"Yea" he said not telling me it

"Well?" I stopped

"Cole" he walked away I went back to my friends and we continued our search
