"Lee hurry up we have go" I heard a knock on my door. I know it is Cole he has been rushing me for three minutes

"Hold on" I heard a groan and then my door opened I still hadn't gotten dressed so I was kinda stunned he walked right over to my closet and pulled out a small black dress and handed it to me

"Hurry please?" I laughed and quickly put on the dress I grabbed a pair of black heels and walked out of my room Cole turned around and looked me over "you look.... Beautiful" I could feel my cheeks turn red

"Thanks shall we go?" We linked arms And walked out to his truck. Apparently he went and got it this morning while I was sleeping

He was in a black suit he looked nice. I mean he always looks nice. But he looks extra nice today after we got to where the funeral was being held we walked in with our arms linked I tried to put a smile on my face. Max wouldn't want me to cry in front of the pack. Ann walked over and hugged me. We walked in I sat in between Cole and Ann the funeral was pretty their were flowers. After the funeral we went to burry him I stood next to Cole the hole time I didn't let go of his arm

"Lee let's go" I nodded and went to the truck with Cole after we got in we just sat their "who do you think did this"

"I don't know" I shifted from the uncomfortable question

"We have to find them Lee" he looked at me

"It known you for two weeks now. What's your last name?" I tried to change the subject

"Kopus, don't change the subject" he started the car

"Cole Kopus" I said smiling

"Quit changing the subject" he laughed and drove off back to the grounds

"Hey it's not my fault you say stupid stuff" I tried to lighten the mood

"I do not" I rolled my eyes "what are we going to do if we find him?"

"How do we know if it's a he?" I said and he shook his head

"Okay fine what if we find them?" He looked at me

"I don't know. We can't have them running around and killing our pack" I shrugged

"Oh so it's my pack to" he pulled in to the property

"Oh what ever" I rolled my eyes and got out of the truck. A few seconds latter he reappeared next to me

"You said it" we walked in to my house and I walked to my room and shut the door before he came in

"Changing" I locked the door and changed in to some jeans and a t-shirt and walked back out he was in some jeans and a tank top

"Their is food out side" he pointed out the door

"Yea people kinda eat after a funeral let's go" I pulled him out the door and down to where every one was

"Hey guys" we waved at one of the guards

I looked at the table. We had every thing we would have at a pot luck burgers hot dogs chips. We grabbed some food and sat under a tree we were alone for a bit then Ann Gracie Will and Hunter sat down

"Soooo" Gracie said sitting down next to me

"Whattt" I said mocking her and taking a bite of my burger

"When is the recondition" I shrugged I didn't know when it was or what was going to happen

"Alpha said next week" Hunter said

"Have you found a mate yet" Ann said eating a chip I gave her a look I was not to happy about the mate thing

"No" I said not wanting to talk about it

"Think you should?" Will said he has been pushing it on me sense we found out

"No" I took one of Ann's chips

"Why are you making this complex" Gracie said rolling her eyes

"Because I don't want to have a mate" I took a drink of my lemonade

"Why?" Cole said eating his hot dog

"Because" I though for a second "why do I need one. I can be a good leader with out one" I got up and threw my plate away

"Lee it's not about making you stronger you need one to help with stress" I turned around to see Cole

"I'll be fine" I didn't want a mate at all I would lie if I had to

"Let go for a walk" I shook my head but he just looked at me "please"

"Fine" we went for a walk after a few minutes he stopped

"Lee" he turned around "what's the real reason you don't want one?"

"Reasons" I turned around and walked back after I got out of the woods I went and sat down at the tree and noticed Cole was gone "did you guys see Cole?"

"No" we all got up and I ran in the woods I turned knowing it would be easier to run after I got farther in the mountains I turned back and looked around "KOPUS!!" I listened closely but nothing I ran to the cave. I could hear people in their I ran in and saw Cole sitting next to a rock I ran over and helped him up "you jerk" I hit him in the chest and he put his hand over my mouth to shut me up

"Will you shut up" he said quietly he moved his hand

"Your a fucking jerk Kopus" he shook his head at his name

"So now your calling me Kopus" he pulled me out of the cave and far enough away so no one could get to us

"Yes I am you ass hole" I hit his chest again

"Will you quit hitting me" he rubbed where I hit him

"No you dick head" I hit him again

"Okay I get it stop" he pushed my hands away butt I kept trying

"You nearly gave me a heart attack" I pushed him

"I'm sorry okay" he took a step back

"Don't ever do that again" I felt a tear run down my cheek

"I'm sorry" he hugged me "I'm sorry" he said quieter than before

"I'm not losing you to" I hugged him "I'm not you idiot" I was mad, sad and happy it was just a mix of emotions

"You won't. I'm not leaving" we stood their for what felt like hours hugging

"We should head back" we let go and headed back I was still mad it him for doing that
