I Must Go On

I had been at Toriels for about 2 days now, I am beyond curious. Toriel is being very picky about me going downstairs. I sat up in bed one morning feeling groggy but my heart was trying to run free. Its time to go my conscious spoke to me.

The smell of butterscotch pie wafted into my room filling me with determination. It was time to go further on my journey to find awnsers. "Toriel?" you called out as you reached the main room of Toriels house. "Over hear my child" A warm friendly voice calls you softly from the next room over. You smiled and walked into another room to find Toriel reading her book "72 uses for snails" She looked relaxed and looked happy as usual. "Toriel, Can i ask you something?" You sat down on the floor in front of her. "what is it my child?" She asked putting her book down for a moment.

"I'm just gonna get to the point, Why wont you let me go downstairs? why cant I leave?" You asked, "My child, I am protecting you from what is out there! Nasty, rude, mean monsters await you ahead. Why don't you and I have some pie?" She got up and was about to turn and leave "Toriel, mother... I can't stay here forever!" You begged Toriel.

Toriel sighed softly, "go back to your room, I have some things to do" she said sternlu puts her book away and gets up. "Toriel! Tell me!" You complained but she said nothing turning and leaving you alone in hat room. You sigh frustrated and head down the staircase anyways. "You can't keep me here any longer" you say softly and start walking down a empty, soundless hallway alone. You ears hurt from lack of sound as there was the occasional drip from the ceiling.

You finally reach the end of the hall where Toriel stands guard, a flame burns around her. "I cannot save the life of one child.... Alright fine... Be foolish like the other children and prove to me you have what it takes to go out into the darker realms of the underground" She began shooting you with a magic flame. You gasp jumping and dodging occasionally getting singed by the flames.

"Toriel! I don't wanna fight! Don't do this!" You complained as you take one of the fireballs head on and you fall back weakly. "I'm not gonna fight you Toriel!" You walked closer. She could not hurt you as the projectiles went around you and you got closer and closer until you hugged Toriel. Toriel bursts into tears at the warm familiar embrace she hasn't felt since the last human came through and then Toriel lifts you up and hugs you tightly feeling defeated by human stubbornness. "There always is a place in my home for you, my child" she said softly....

It spoke of ideas to change fate..."Why don't you just kill this human? It's special but if you get rid of it. There will be no harm done? You could reset the timeline and so Gaster never dies and no human comes into the underground!" It adds with a more murderous time of voice. "End the glitch in the time line. Fix the problem.

Isn't that what scientists are supposed to do? Fix the unfixable and change the course of time?
