Chapter 5

Luke's POV

             I ran in the forest, after that gunshot I felt the worst pain ever like I had lost something. I follow Sky's scent trail until I approach a patch of blood that stained the ground.

Oh, No!

                   I start to run faster and faster until I stop at the edge of a mountain. The mountain had slide marks and blood on it, my heart starts to break down. Sky you can't be gone, I can still feel the bond, she's still alive. I slowly slide down the mountain, my foot accidentally slips as I fall down the mountain and to the hard ground below. I lay there winded as I lift my head to see that their is a river in front of me. Sky's scent was faint and disappearing. I shift into my wolf form and dive into the river, I pump my legs as I swivel across the water, the water dragged me down a bit farther, but I was relieved when my paws hit gravel as I pull myself out of the water and on to the other side of the river. I look up at the top of the mountain as I see the rest of my pack at the top of it. I look back in front of me and start running the river. She has to be here, I can't lose her.

           I don't know how long I was running for I would say a good 20 min until I found a trace of Sky. I stop in my tracks and catch my breath and breath in. She was definitely here, But there's two more cents. One was pines and the other was a strong scent of silver.

              I look around the area and I notice something, this place is really close to my pack house, and their scent is leading towards it. Happyness starts to fill my heart as I run and see the house come into view. I run up to the door and open it, I walk inside to see a group of people surrounding something, Sky's scent is strong she must be here.

" What is going on!" I say in my alpha tone. All eyes turn on me as they start to scoot away from what they were surrounding. I step forward to see Sky stretched out on the floor and Tyler was beside her. My heart filled with love as I saw her that I ran up to her body and picked her up. Tyler put his hand on my shoulder.

" Luke, she's injured" Tyler says as he motions to Sky's shoulder. I turn my head to her shoulder and slide down the shirt she was wearing, I look at her shoulder which was covered with blood and had a distinct bullet hole through it, but something else caught my eye, it was a symbol of a moon and an eclipse, but that doesn't matter right now. My eyes turn black.

" Who did this" I said with a deadly tone. I turn over to Tyler and ask him the same question.

" I-I don't know who it was, I just found her be the river. But after she woke up I noticed a person on a rock and she did to, so she and I both ran to the cabin" Tyler finished. My eyes went back to Sky's sleeping face. A gunman did this, why? I brush her white hair out of her face and kiss her cheek. I should have never let this happen to you.

" Uu....who is she" A child's voice came from the crowd but was hushed by his mother. I turn around and look at the little boy.

" This is Sky, the most beautiful and kind mate a person could ask for" I said and I heard gasps from the crowed. But I ignored it as I started to walk up the stairs with Sky in my arms.

            I walk up to the top floor and open the door to my room and set Sky on the bed. Her clothes were ripped and tattered. I sit by the bed and cup her face, her eyes scrunch then open. Her blue eyes pirce into mine as we both look at each other. Sky tries to sit up but whimpers as she grabs her shoulder.

" I'm so happy that you're alive" I say with a smile and Sky smiles back.

" Hey Luke, I think I need to get to a doctor" She says when she pulls her hand away from her shoulder to show blood on it. I nod and I slowly picked her up and walked her to the doctors room.

Sky's POV

             I was laid on a hospital bed by Luke. The doctor said that the wound will heal in about two weeks due to that the bullet was silver. Luke walks around the bed and kisses my forehead before he walks out the door. Luke said that his pack needed him but he wanted to stay with me but I ordered him to go back home. He closes the door after saying that he loved me and I replied that I did to. I flip to my side and closed my eyes.

             Where am I? I look around but only saw trees that stretched as far as I could see. I walk around and look at a tree that stood out to me. I walk up to it and put my palm against the hard bark. My vision turned away from the tree when I hear a fierce growl from behind me. I look down to see a black wolf with purple eyes as it nears me . A white wolf sprang from the bushes and attacked the black wolf they both snap and bite at each other, until the black wolf was on top of the white and ripped its throught out. I stare in horror at the black wolf as it turns to me with blood plastered to its face as it grins at me, The wolf runs at me and pounces on my body.

I gasp as my eyes open to see someone shaking me.

" Good you're awake!" The nurse said with relief on her face.

" Why, what's going on?!" I ask

" Rogues!" A man yells outside the hall.
