Having that near-death experience made me realize how significant everything I love in my life is. I knew today had to be the day I did it. My palms were sweaty,I could feel a bead of sweat start making its way down my forehead. 'Here goes nothing.' I thought. I took a deep breath and pushed open Emily's office door. She looked up from her stack of paperwork,greeting me with a...nervous smile? What could she be nervous about? "Hey,Nialler." "Hey,Em." "Hey uhhh....I've got something to tell you." "Really? I've got something to tell you too." I said. "You first." "Ok..." I hadn't really thought about how to approach this. I spent all night talking myself into this,I didn't think I'd actualy get the guts to do it. "I love you,Emily Rose Eltz..." "I love you too,Niall James Horan."She teased. I gave her a weak smile and got down on one knee. "Marry me,Em?" I took out the small box from inside my pocket. I opened it to reveal a simple but beautiful diamond ring. She gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. "Of course!" She practically knocked me over when she hugged me. "I love you! I love you! I love you!" She murmured while kissing me all over my face. "I love you too." I slipped the ring on her engagement finger. "Now,what did you want to tell me?..." I asked her,raising an eyebrow. "Oh ummm...I'm pregnant." I grinned as wide as I could. "I'm going to be a dad?!" "Yea!" "Oh my gosh! That's great!" I squeezed her again into a hug again. I finally had a family.
