but now I'm sitting here, in the second house just remembering what happened before the house was on fire.
"Here's your cake and your father is bringing your presents!"
"Yay" I say with a smile.
"And here's..."
"Oh! The doll I always wanted!"
"Yes I went to the antique while your were trying out your dresses."
"It's so lovely!"
"Here I am!"
"Daddy!"
"Here are your gifts honey."
"Oooh..." I start to open my presents as my little brother walks in.
"I'm back..."
"Yes your are." My mother start to fix his shirt and dust off something. Something.
"Oh there's cake, I'm hungry."
"You have to wait."
"Okay."
We sit by the table mom puts a candle and lights it up. I close my eyes and make a wish.
He will be mine...
Well my first birthday party was over but now I have my second one, until night falls of course.
it will all be over and tomorrow will be another day, a normal, regular, grey day for my family. At least we are all together for my birthday.
"Okay the party will be over in an hour."
"But daddy?!"
"Okay I'll give your three hours and then it's time for both of you to go to sleep. Here."
I open the box he gave me. It's a necklace.
"It was your granny's and she couldn't have been here so she sent me this to give it to you."
"Aw... It's shiny. A little bottle." I also see a little knife on it but I didn't say it out loud, didn't want my parents to take it away from me. :)
