Chapter 01

Jun's POV

I was at my room doing my homework that is due tomorrow when I heard someone outside the room knocking on the door.

"Come in." And they do.

My parents walked in together. "Jun, we have something to tell you." They took a seat on the edge of my queen sized bed. My bed is just beside my desk.

Well, this is weird. My parents are those type of parents that are really care free. They're strict, but not that strict, compared to other parents in the world. They rarely come in my room to 'talk'. When they do, they're probably going to tell me something really important or serious.

The last time they walked in my room together and tell me something, was actually to give me the sex talk.

Yeap. No need to re-read that sentence. They really gave me the sex talk. The awkward conversation lasted for at least two hours.

Did you know the moment my mother sat down, her first question was, "Honey dear, you're still a virgin, right?"

And I, who clearly didn't see that coming, blushed so hard while I shouted, "Eomma! I'm only 16!"

Which was a year ago. I didn't talk to my parents for a week because I was too embarresed.

My dad cleared his throat to get my attention. "We have something to tell you." He repeated.

"Uh huh." I put down my blur pen  on my really thick Biology book. Hopefully, this time won't be as awkward as last time.

My mum took a deep breath before saying, "Jun, you're going to be engaged."

Jungkook's POV

"Jungkook dear, we have something to tell you."

"Okaay?" I looked up from my plate of spaghetti. Okay, fine, maybe more like I looked up from my phone that I'm hiding under the table so my parents won't notice me texting. But they probaby do notice.

I and my parents were having dinner at one of a fancy, expensive, high class restaurant in town. We even got a private room without needing to book one. Advantages of having parents that are loaded. The food here is really good too.

We always go out for dinner at a high class restaurant every Friday night. It's like a tradition for my family. My typical Friday night.

"Keep the phone, I and your mother have something imprtant to say." See! I knew that they knew about the phone! And I don't see why I'm so happy about this! I'm so weird. Sigh.

I put my new iPhone 6s into my pocket as ordered. "Please continue your speech." I said sarcastically. My parents don't really get the whole sarcasm thing. So yeah.

"Anyway, you're getting engaged." My dad said bluntly.

My eyes widened.

Am I hearing what I'm think I heard? I'm engaged?

"I-I'm engaged?" I repeated his words.

My mum nodded nervously.

"With whom?!" No way. No flipping way.

"The daughter of Park Company. The companies that owns many high class restaurants, including this one." My dad took a sip of water.

"What about Cindy?" Cindy is the only girl I have ever had a crush on and yes, she's my girlfriend. The first girl I had ever brought home to meet my parents and have dinner with them. Let's just say, they weren't really a big fan of her.

"Drop her." He simply said.

Drop her.

Drop her.

Drop her.

He said it like it was nothing.

"I dated her for 2 years already! You can't expect me to just break up with her!" I growled.

God, I'm so pissed right now.

My dad is asking me to break up with the girl I love and marry some random girl who's rich?

"I don't care." He took another sip of water.

Fortunately, my mum interrupted before I could say something I would probably regret. "Jungkook dear, just listen to your dad. All we're doing is just for you. It's for your own good."

I crossed my arms.

"Why are you guys so against me and Cindy? She's pretty, kind, rich, sweet and what's not to like about her? I don't get why you hate her."

"We didn't say we hate her," My mum denied. "We just, aren't that fond of her."

"Well, the only girl I'm going to marry is Cindy. So if you really want me to marry someone, that someone would be Cindy. She's the one I love and the one I want." I looked into my dad's eye whike I said it. I said the 'L' word. Yes, I did.

My mum gasped.

Piak-

All I could feel now was, pain on my left cheek.

It was so pain, tears were streaming down my face.

My dad slapped me across the face.

He slapped me.

For the first time.
