"Dear Diary,

Today was my first day at Greystone High. It was just like any other day. The only good thing is that I saw the cutest boy in school. There is one problem though, he is preppy. That is all, byes."

"Are you home, Veronica?" my mom asked, from downstairs. "Yes!" I yelled. Oh I should introduce myself. I'm Veronica Grey, and I have black emo hair with daring turquoise blue eyes. I am the only child, and I live alone with my mom.

I lost my dad ten years ago, and now I'm sixteen. I'm still hurting from it. He was shot in the heart, during the war. "Honey, dinner is ready," my mom said. "Okay," I said.

I ran downstairs and ate dinner. When I was done eating, I looked at the clock that read 8:30 p.m. I ran upstairs to go to bed. When I got upstairs, I got ready and climbed in the bed. I closed my eyes, and passed out around 9:30 p.m.

"Beep, beep" my alarm rang. I reached over to the dismiss button and pushed it. I got out of bed, and got ready for school. I ran downstairs, and got my backpack. I ran out the door, and got on the bus.

Of course the bus was full, and I got weird looks because of my dark clothes. I sat beside a girl that I've never seen on the bus or at school. "Hi, I'm Veronica," I said, "What's your name?" "I'm Sam," she said. "Can I see your schedule?" I asked.

"Sure," she said handing me her schedule to me. I compared my schedule to hers, and saw we only had first period together. "Do you need help finding your first period?" I asked. "Yes, do you want to help me?" she asked. "Sure because we have the same first period," I answered.

We got to school, and we both got off the bus. We went to our first period, and she gave me her number. When she gave me the piece of paper with her number on it, I realized that I had made a friend. We sat by each other in our first period, chemistry. We had to do a lab.

"Okay be careful with the chemicals you have because they are explosive," the teacher said with a warning look. Sam and I were partners, and of course we did it perfectly and first done. "Boom" I looked behind me, and the cute, preppy boy made an explosion. "Dylan go to the principal's office now!" the teacher yelled. He grabbed his stuff, while everyone was laughing.

Of course I was the only one not laughing. He stared at me while he was passing me, but I rolled my eyes at him. I heard whispers around me. He finally left the room. Then one of the preppy girls came up to me while the teacher wasn't looking.

"Look you stay away from him, he is mine," she said. "You can't tell me what to do because I don't want anything to do with him thank you very much," I said. "Oh we have a sassy one," she told her posse. I just gave a go to hell look. "This is your warning, and next time you go near him you're going to wish you hadn't," she said trying to scare me.

She walked away from me back to her seat. "What was that about?" Sam asked. "She thought I was hitting on Dylan," I answered. "Oh," she said. I put in my ear buds, and turned on my music.

"Ding, ding" the bell rang. I packed my things, and said bye to Sam. I walked out of the room, and bumped into Dylan. I picked up my things, and suddenly he helped me. I didn't make eye contact with him.

All my things were off the ground, and then suddenly he said, "A simple thank you would be nice." "Thank you can I go now?" I asked. "Here if u need something just text me," he said putting a piece of paper in my binder. I walked away knowing that the preppy girl was watching me. I realized that I didn't get in trouble by her when I passed by her.

The day passed by fast, and I don't really talk about my second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh period sorry. I got on the bus, and noticed that the seat I sat in this morning was empty. Sam wasn't on the bus. I went to the seat and sat down. Then guess who showed up on the bus, Dylan.

I thought to myself please don't see me, please don't see me. He saw me, and sat beside me. "Hey I never caught your name gorgeous," he said. "The names Veronica now will you leave me alone," I said with a scoff. "Since you ask, no I won't leave you alone because you're the only girl who doesn't like me," he said.

"Wow, you're so self- centered," I said with venom in my words. "No I'm not," he said. "Sorry I don't fight with self- centered people," I said. "Okay whatever, but I will make you like me," he said. He finally left me alone.

We got to my stop, wait I never knew we left the school. He caught me off guard. I got off the bus, and texted Sam. I walked in my house, and noticed that my mom wasn't home yet. I went upstairs to start my homework, when I heard my text message ringtone go off.

It was a text from Sam saying, "Hey, sorry I left early I got sick." I sent a message back saying its fine and hope you feel better, and you're so lucky that you didn't stay at school. I went upstairs, and started my homework. My phone went off again, and the text said, "How am I lucky?"I sent a message saying Dylan sat with me and bugged the far out of me.

A few minutes later, when I finished my homework, I got a text saying, "WHAT!!!" I sent one back saying, yeah. I remembered about the piece of paper he slipped in my binder. I went through my binder, and I finally found it. I was about to throw it away, but I had a devious idea.

I sent Sam a message saying; want to help me do something so fun? I was wondering what she would say, and then she sent me a text saying, "First tell me what it is." I sent her back a text saying, the plan is to prank Dylan. I went downstairs to get something to eat. I got a text saying, "Let's do it!"

I was so excited and devious. I sent her a text telling her to come over. A few minutes later, I got a text saying, "Sorry I can't I'm too busy." I sent her a message saying, oh ok I'll see you tomorrow then. I went to the couch to lay down for a bit.

I got a call from my mom, "Hey honey I won't be getting home until late tonight will you be okay alone?" "Yes mom I will, and be careful." I hung up, and passed out on the couch at 4 pm. I woke up around 8 pm, and my mom wasn't home.

I was wondering where she was, and I remembered she wouldn't be home until late tonight. I looked at my phone, but no messages or calls so I just fell back asleep.
