I still wanted to know who that poor lady was that I hit. Oh well. I got back in the car a little less drunken then I was. My sight was better and my brain was working better. I decided to go home.
*A day later*
I decided to go back to see someone at the hospital, but I don't know why. "Um nurse?" I asked politely. "Yes sir... Oh wait are you here to see the young lady u brought here last night?" She asked. "Um yes I am, and do you know who she is?" I asked. "Oh yes, do you know a girl by Veronica Grey?" She asked. I was shocked. "What room?" I said in shock. "Room 314," she answered.
With that I ran as fast as I could, but I didn't know where I was going. 312...313...314! I ran into the room and saw her pale body laying on the hospital bed. She was bruised, and had cuts all over her. What the hell did she get into? I looked around her bed and found a clipboard. I looked at it. "Hit by a car, traumatized, concussion, bleeding of the brain, and in medically induced coma.
I fell in the seat beside her. Why does this happen? Why did I let her go? Am I the one that hit her? So many questions were flying through my head. "Stop thinking to hard," someone said. I turn to look at Veronica and she was awake. "NURSE!" I yelled. Doctors and nurses flooded the room. "Sorry sir but you need to get out of here so we can do our jobs." A nurse said. "No I need to be here!" I raised my voice, but I got pulled out. I went to the waiting room and stayed there.
After about an hour and a half, the doctor came and told me that she would be fine and I could go and see her. I rushed to her room to get by her side.
"Dylan?" She asked. "Yes?" I asked. "Did you hit me with a car?" She asked. I didn't know for sure if I did. "I don't know," I said. "Okay well we both need to get some sleep, goodnight." She said. I bid her a goodnight too and I fell asleep in the chair beside her.
