Chapter Ten

A few weeks later...

Dylan's POV 😝

There was the bed she lied on just empty. I can't believe I lost the person I loved so much. Her beauty and her personality that I loved so much. Why did she have to get in the crash. I was empty and broken.

I missed everything about her. We were so close, but so far up in our own little worlds. Why was she the one to die, and not me? I left the hospital, and went to get my suit for the funeral. She died last week, and today was the day of her funeral.

I got out of the hospital about a month and a half ago. I got to a place that sold suits, and I tried some on. I liked the black and white suit the best. I knew that if she were here she would be happy to see what I wore to her funeral. I knew she was going to be my new guardian angel.

I took off the suit, and bought it for the funeral today. I know I bought it late only because lots of things have been on my mind. I went to go back to the hospital to see how Veronica was doing. Yeah that day when I thought I lost her, they came to my room and told me that they revived her.

I'm going for my sister's funeral. Yeah I never talk about my sister because she was the one who ran away from my parents and I. I went into the room Veronica was in, but she was still in a come. She has been in the coma for seven weeks now. The doctors told me that she would be okay, and that this was only from the head trauma.

She won't have amnesia, thank goodness. She was going to be the same person I fell in love with. I took out my phone to see that I only had 30 minutes to get to the funeral. I kissed Veronica on the forehead goodbye.

Veronica's POV

I woke up with light all around me. "Honey is that you?" A familiar voice asked that I missed. I turned around to see my mother and father standing there together. I ran over to hug them. "Now we can be the happy family that we wanted to be," as I said in between sobs.

I looked up at my mom and dad, and they had frowns on their faces. I looked at both if them confused. "Honey we can't," my mom finally said. "B-but why not?" I stuttered. "You are not ready to be here yet sweety," my dad said.

I was shocked that they didn't want me up here with them. "I wanna stay please!" I whimpered. They both shook their heads saying 'no.' I just got on my knees and cried. I missed them, and this is how they repay me of telling me no I can't stay.

I was heartbroken. "Look the reason why we can't let you stay is because of you're boyfriend," my mom said. I just remembered that me and Dylan are dating, I can't believe I forgot. "So you want me to live my life to the fullest?" I asked.

"Yes we do!" They said in unison. I hugged them both, and thanked them for telling me why I needed to stay on earth. I went back to earth, but I wasn't in my body. I was staring at my body instead of staring from it. I looked horrible.

I saw Dylan come in wearing a suit with red puffy eyes. He sat beside my body, and took my hand. "Please fight! Fight for me at least, don't die on me please! I love you!" He said crying. Something felt like it was pulling me into something.

Dylan's POV 😝

"Please fight! Fight for me at least, don't die on me please! I love you!" I said crying my eyes out. I was going to get up, but then she grasped my hand. I looked at her, and her eyes were fluttering open. I sat back down, and kept looking at her.

She just smiled, and I pressed the button to notify the nurse. She came running in only to she Veronica awake. "Glad you're awake Ms. Grey!" The nurse said cheerfully. Ver just smiled at her. "You're a great fighter Ms. Grey!" She said.

"She's my fighter!" I said as I looked into her gorgeous turquoise eyes. She slowly sat up, and she kissed me softly on the lips. I was glad she was finally awake. "I thought you were gone," I said breathlessly.

"I'm not going anywhere without you," she said. "I love you Ver-bear!" I said. "I love you too Dylan!" She said with a smile that reached her eyes. I was happy with her, and nothing was going to change that.

A/N I know I never did this on the chapters but here I am doing it on this one. I am so sorry if I made you cry because I made it seem like Veronica was the one that died, but instead it was Dylan's sister. I hope you're enjoying this book.
