*Y/N POV*
I woke up with smile on my face. It quickly faded once I realized what was going to happen. I was going to end things with Dylan. I had to. He's great and all, but he doesn't make me feel the way Hunter does.
*your's and Dylan's text messages*
You: hey can we meet up at the park or something?
Dylan: yea sure.
You: I'll be there in 10 minutes
Dylan: okay, see you then
*Y/N POV*
I got to the park and saw Dylan. I hesitated before actually waking up to him. I really want to do this but I know it going to break his heart. Should I turn back now? No, stay focused. Remember your doing this for Hunter, the guy you love.
I walked up to Dylan slowly. I was trying to gather my thoughts before I could break up with him. I was feeling a lump in my throat. No. I'm going to do this for ME. For HUNTER. I finally got to Dylan.
You: "Hey Dylan"
Dylan: "Hey babe"
*Hearing those words come out of his mouth made it harder for you to do this.
Remember to focus on Hunter.*
You: "Dylan I need to talk to you....."
Dylan: "Okay, go ahead."
*How am I going to do this? Should I just say "I want to break up with you cuz I'm in love with my bestfriend" or "Dylan I really hate being with you and I'm in love with my bestfriend". Omg both of those are true but they are to harsh.*
Dylan: "Hey you okay? You haven't said anything yet."
*You didn't even notice you spaced out for a second or a minute*
You: "Yea I'm okay."
You: "Look Dylan.... I know we have been going out for 3 weeks already and we made it official. I just think been thinking about us..... And well. How do I say this? Well..... I want to break up."
*You could feel the tension in the air*
Dylan: "I know were your coming from. I really don't see us together. Don't get me wrong. Your perfect but not perfect for me. I think we just go to keep looking for that perfect person."
*when he said "I think we just got to keep looking for that perfect person". Hunter was all I could think about. You knew you didn't have to keep looking long. He was there this whole time. I can't wait to tell Hunter the good news and it's also bad in a way but really good cuz Dylan agrees with you.*
You: "Yea we just need to keep looking. Dylan your such a good guy. Anyone would be lucky to have you. I really wish you were the right guy for me but things don't always go out the way you want. Anyways thanks for understanding. It means a lot."
Dylan: "No problem. Thanks. Anyways..... Friends?"
You: "Friends."
You both got up. Gave each other a hug and said goodbye. You walked away. And the only thing you were thinking about was Hunter. Hunter.... Oh how you wish he was yours. Now you got that chance. Just thinking about him melted your heart. You were finally gonna have him all to yourself. And you were going to be able to call him yours and you were going to be his too.
