The rest of the day had flown by rather quickly. It was quite...interesting. The whole interesting part was when I got into it with Amanda. I really hated listening to her ass-backwards trash talk all period; what makes it even worst is she sits to the right of me. It was a free-day so the entire class she bitched and moaned about how Marc could pick a dike like me over her and the he deserved a 'real' American woman like herself who wasn't adopted. She also went on to say that the reason my real parents, whom I'd never met, gave me up because I was such an ugly child.

First off, we all know I was born in Korea but I have American citizenship so she needs to shut the hell up, second, my parents died in an accident the day after I was born and none of my relatives had the money to take care of me so I was put up for adoption.

If there was ever a law saying there's a limit on how much you could hate another person I swear I'd have double life in jail. I could see it now; I'd be sitting in my cell 60 years from now covered in wrinkles and liver spots shaking my fist yelling: "DAMN YOU AMANDA!!" I laughed in spite of my thought while climbing onto the bus.

Marc and Lilah were already in the back waiting for me. I plopped down next to Marc and leaned against him. He wrapped is arms around me and closed the gap between our hips.

"How was your day?" he asked.

Lilah laughed, almost choking on the Pringles she was eating, "You guys really do act like a married couple."

I stuck my tongue out at her, "Like I was about to say, my day was pretty okay, excluding Amanda's rant."

He moved his face closer to mine so he could whisper into my ear, "Don't listen to her, she's just jealous." he ensured.

I blushed causing Ms. Hyperpants to laugh again.

"I swear you're gonna choke one of these days." I said.

"Well, it's not my fault you guys are so sappy!" she said catching her breath.

I scoffed, "You can't talk; you and 'Jacie' do the same exact thing."

She puffed up her already chubby cheeks and pouted. I chuckled at the image of them next to each other. She stood out with her olive colored skin compared to pasty pale Jace. She had short dark brown curly hair; he had shaggy red hair. Jace was 5'6 so he towered over Lilah who stood at 4'11. Delilah Russo and Jace Smith were quite the pair.

The bus came to a stop jolting me out of my thoughts and scramble to get off the bus. Marc and Lilah followed behind me, "Where are you going?" I asked Lilah.

"I'm hungry and you have food so...your house." she grinned.

I shook my head, I swore that's all she did when she came to my house, I thought.

I turned to Marc with a raised eyebrow, "You coming too?"

"No, I gotta help my dad with some work." he explained.

I nodded and gave him a quick kiss before leaving with Lilah.

When we opened the door, my parents where standing in the doorway.

"Welcome home." the said in unison as they did this morning; I really needed to check my parents mental health.

"It was alright." I said before letting them ask while heading upstairs with Lilah bouncing behind me. As soon as we were in my room she flopped on my bed and started talking about her day at light speed. I flicked her nose and told her to speak English.

She hopped up, "Speaking of English, you have that with Amanda right?! What did she say?!"

"Jeez! Calm down a bit! Anyways, she just said that I didn't deserve Marc and that I'm ugly and that I'm not American, she's better for him, you know the usual rundown."

Lilah frowned and went off about how none of that was true.

"...Besides, what does she have that you don't?" Lilah huffed.

"Lemme guess...fake boobs and a horrible tan? Chick's friggin orange!" I laughed falling out of my chair.

Lilah laughed in agreement joining me on the floor; my laughing came to an abrupt stop.

I thought, why had I started hating her in the first place? I remembered, it was back in pre-k. She made fun of me for being the only Asian kid in our class. Since then, her attitude towards me had become much nastier. Once we were in middle school, no longer was I just "the Asian kid" but I was "the stupid Chinese dike" Chinese? Really? Bitch I'm Korean! And who teaches a 6th grader the word 'dike'?

I jumped up when I heard a strange sound coming from the top of my bed. Lilah reached up and retrieved her phone.

"Lilah...what did I tell you about keeping up with your phone?"

"To do it." she said still texting whoever.

"Then do it." I said flicking her nose.

She winced and pushed herself off the floor, "yeah yeah, okay 'mom', I gotta go, Jace is outside."

She hugged me and headed out the door without another word. I shrugged my shoulders and headed for the shower; it was much needed after a long day.

-One glorious shower later-

I was lying on my bed when there was a knock at my door. I got up and flung it open to see Marc standing in the doorway.

"Hey there" he said walking over to my bed to sit down.

I nodded at him, still standing in the doorway like and idiot.

"C'mere." he gestured for me to sit next to him.

Before I could sit down, he pulled me into his lap.

"Look at me." he breathed on my neck cause me to squirm a little.

I turned to the side so I was facing him. He held the nape of my neck and pulled me close to him so our lips were barely touching.

"I love you." he said before closing the gap between our lips.

We sat there in silence, with the exception of our faint breathing. I could feel Marc's chest rising and falling against my back, I honestly wish we could stay like this. Unfortunately, just as I thought that, Marc got up. I held his hand squeezing his fingers hoping he would stay. He kissed me once more and left without saying anything else.
