Little Did They Know (Niall AU)

Chapter 1

                                                  * Ella's POV *

          "You have a new job assignment waiting for you when you come

back from break," Edward, my boss, tells me. "Yes sir. I can stay and

start if you would like," I answered back with a smile. "Are you trying to

bail on plans for this winter break," Maci asks from behind me in the

office. " No, of course not," I giggle nervously. "Liar!" Maci replied. I

look to my boss for an answer. "No, Ella you're a workaholic! Go home

and enjoy your winter break for me, will you?" He tells me sternly. "

Okay...," I say pouting, biting my lip a bit. "Now go home!" Ed tells Maci

and I. "Have a great break." Both Maci & I tell him back. " You girls too!

Rest. There is going to be a lot of work when we all come back," he

informs us. "Alright." We say as we turn around and started to head

towards the door.

          We walk out into the cold December air in New York. Maci and I

smile towards each other. "Okay, so tomorrow at your apartment,

right?" Maci asks. "Yeah, four o'clock p.m., bring food for dinner." I

smile and answer. We go and head our separate ways. Maci heading

towards her boyfriends work, I still haven't met him. She's told me his

name, but tomorrow he will come with her.

          I'm headed to Tiffany's to buy Maci a necklace for Christmas this

year. She's gonna love it so much. I walk into the store and there's

about fifteen guys looking at engagement rings. I frown a bit to myself... 

          I get her necklace, then head to my apartment, that's a block away.
