I was currently lying on my bed. School had ended a few hours ago and I was completely upset by the fact that I have detention the whole week.

Detention with Cameron was not exactly my definition of fun. Just when I thought my day couldn’t get any worse, my twin little brothers came into my room and started jumping on my bed while chanting

“Cameron is sleeping over” continuously. Realization dawned on me.

“You’re kidding right, this is just a little joke from you two jerks right?” I asked them.

They grinned “nope, he’s sleeping over for a whole week while mom and dad go on a business trip with his parents” said Chad, one of the twins.

My parents spent years studying and trying to accomplish their dreams. They travel frequently due to the fact that my mother is a consultant and my father is a very popular photographer. Cameron’s parents just so happen to work with mine.

They have known each other since college. Cameron’s mother is a photographer and his father is a consultant. Their honestly just as good as my parents are.

My dad and Cameron's are asked to travel often because their shots are amazing. Many people contract them. “Speaking of the devil” I murmured.

“Why hello there Bree, I was thinking, since we’ll be spending plenty of time together; we should try to get along. You know, for the kids’ sake.”

“Yes, because you care about their well-being so much” I responded sarcastically.

“Anyways, I came up here to tell you that your parents are on their way out so, if you want to say goodbye you should go now.” He shrugged while looking at the floor as if it somehow became so interesting.

I nodded thanks and headed downstairs. I hugged and kissed my parents as my mom shouted the instructions of the house.

“Don’t leave the stove on we know how forgetful you are, watch that the kids don’t play with my stuff let alone go into my room for any reason, call us if anything happens you have our numbers.” My mom threw these at me so fast that I almost couldn’t keep up.

“Okay mom, dads waiting in the car, love you have a safe trip” I laughed at her worried face.

“Love you too sweetie” she said. “Me too” my dad shouted from the window of his car.

“Love you guys, see you next Monday” I shouted as they drove off

I ran back up the stairs to find my room empty.

Grabbing my toiletries I headed to the bathroom to wash up and prepare dinner. Forty five minutes later I headed to my room to dress.

“Crap, what the hell are you doing in my room? Get out now!!” I was so angry I thought my angry stare would have scared him off. It didn’t help that I was standing there in just a towel.

“Relax, I only came up here to tell you that dinner is ready” with that, Cameron exited my room.

“I felt my face soften up and a blush creep onto my face as I realized how dramatic I had been. As I made my way downstairs an amazing scent hit my sense of smell.”

That smells good, what is it?” I asked Cameron just as rounded the corner and into the kitchen.

“Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breasts with Tomato and Basil and Potatoes with Peppers and Onions” he replied with a smirk.

“That’s pretty impressive; I didn’t know you could cook. How’d you learn?” “Rachel Ray” he smiled. I laughed while nudging his shoulder.

“Seriously though, who taught you? Was it your grandma?” Cameron is an only child and in summer, he usually goes to visit his grandmother for a month because his parents are away so much.

“Seriously Bree, don’t be so surprised."

Don’t tell you your little boyfriend doesn’t cook for you?” he smirked.

For some reason he actually looked interested in my answer.

“He really doesn’t, last time he tried, he nearly burned down the whole kitchen” Jake; my other little brother commented.

“Do you always have to butt into my conversations” I asked him. “That’s what little brothers do sis, your welcome” with that, he put his dish in the sink and walked into his room on the first floor of the house.

When I looked over at Cameron, I saw that he was still staring at me.

Feeling uncomfortable, I grabbed a plate of food and made my way upstairs to my room. I ate alone in silence; if you can call two mouthfuls of food eating.

I couldn’t properly concentrate on my food because I was too busy thinking of the way Cameron looked at me. I slapped myself on the forehead and decided to forget about it just as my phone rang.

“Hey babe, I’m just calling to tell you that I love you. What are you up to?” Will asked.

“It’s going alright. My parents left on a business trip surprise for that. And Cameron is sleeping over for the week, what have you been up to?” I tried to say the last part twice knowing how much Will despised Cameron.

“Wait a minute, that little prick is sleeping over? Why the hell?” I could sense the anger in his voice and I really did not want to deal with that.

“Baby, you know our parents get along well, there’s nothing I can do about it.” I stated in annoyance. “Fine, just stay away from him. I don’t like that guy.

Maybe I should go sleep over” He said. “No it’s okay, I’ll be fine. Chad and Jake are here anyways. “Can you hang up the phone?” I heard someone whisper from the other line. “Who is that” I asked.

“It’s just my little sister. She wants to play on my phone again. I’ll see you tomorrow okay, have a goodnight. “Okay well tell Hannah I said hi” I said just as he hung up the phone.

I put my phone on my bed side table and lay down on my bed. I was more than half asleep when I felt the bed dip and an arm go around my waist from behind. I snuggled closer to the person and fell into a contended sleep.
