Rose's POV
An annoying, nasally voice came over the intercom as I came out of the bathroom stall, and stuffed my blood soaked t-shirt in the trash.
"Whoever is responsible for the broken trophy case, would you please come forward," the voice whined over the intercom, "you won't be in any trouble we would just like you to pay for the damages, that is all." Next came what sounded like an attempt to end the announcement, but there was a small mutter heard, "It's a good thing we're installing security cameras next week..." And finally with a loud click the announcement ended.
"The school is getting security cameras?" I thought while I maneuvered my way through the people clogging the halls. "North and I would be dead if they put them in any earlier. Thank god for lazy janitors." I opened the door to study hall and sat down in my usual desk, and pulled out my homework. Of course I couldn't really focus on my homework at this point in time, I had a lot more on my mind.
Buzz buzz, the distinct vibration of a phone, resonated in the small classroom and interrupted my thoughts. I quickly looked around to see if anyone had noticed, but they were all preoccupied with something. I discretely removed my phone from the front pocket of my back pack. A text from Karin popped up onto the screen.
"So where did you and North go at lunch ;)."
I smirked. You couldn't keep anything from Karin. How was I supposed to respond to this? I absolutely couldn't tell her what actually happened, and I didn't want her to figure out that North and I were dating just yet. So I took a simple route.
"It's a secret ;-)"
Karin responded almost immediately.
"Oooooooooo, get some :D"
I sighed, only Karin would respond like that. But that's Karin for you, she likes to tease everyone. I placed my phone back in my back pack and continued to stare resentfully at my homework.
"Ok, let's try to get the facts straight." I thought as I began doodling on my science assignment. "1. Asura, my demon side, took control of me today 2. Asura tried to kill North 3. North is Ambriel's or the angel of protection's son? 4. I am meeting North after school to explain everything to him 5. I had no idea how I was supposed to explain these things to North." I think the fifth one had the most truth in it than all of them.
I let out a heavy sigh once again. All of these thoughts were filling my head and I still couldn't get them straight. How the hell was I supposed to explain to North that Angels and Demons were real? And why didn't he already know about this stuff if Asura said he was Ambriel's son? Ugh, I'll think about this later.
I drummed my fingers on the table. Well at least there was only one period left in the day until I got to see North. I smiled at that thought. Maybe seeing North would fix everything, like it usually did.
