gray reads a book about a boy like himself
a boy too broken for his own good
and too deep in love with the wrong person, so it seems
gray despises the book with every ounce of his soul
that boy is him, the boy is not
this boy has a fake ending, a lie, and gray detests lies
a violent storm that disappeared overnight, showing clear skies and sun
and a promise to warmer days
but a storm so furious can't disappear so quickly
it should cause havoc and destruction in its leave
and forever stay in that boy's mind
however, an end's an end, no matter how erroneous
gray believes that his story won't have an end
and that it'll just be a storm, a hurricane, and he will be stuck in it forever
forever, forever
a word not to be taken lightly
yet a word used lightly
oh how ironic, how gray is a liar
forever is not something gray can use
forever is for irrational numbers
forever is for our universe's age
forever is not a promise, for a promise is so frequently broken
you can't keep anything forever
not even a promise
gray feeds the lie, thus he is a liar
to believe a lie makes him no less a liar
gray wasn't meant to be a sad story, and now he is its all
isn't it sad how the best of us fall?
