Chapter 4

As soon as we enetered the lunch hall the loud buzzing of voices hushed to silence. The whole of my year group seemed to be in the hall and all their eyes were on me. I expected a people to be a little suprised but I thought they would just assume that I was being my usaul helpful self. I have shown new kids round before.

"Are you sure this is okay??" Eric whispered to me. I took a deep breath before repling.

"Its fine don't worry." I slowly managed to get my brain working again and started towards my table of friends. "You guys mind if Eric sits with us??" I adressed the whole group but only Lula replied.

"Of course not." She wiggled her eyebrows at me whilst speaking.

"Oh I see how it is" Dean pouted at her.

"Ahh baby you jealous. You know your the only one for me." Sh gased into his eyes before pecking him lightly on the lips. I was so happy for her and everything but I was started to feel pretty lonely with her being so loved up. I mean I don't mind being single but I miss my friends and girly time. At least I still had Leo to talk to. I sat down next to him and Eric sat down next to me.

"Eric this is Leo, Dean, Lula, Deliah, Tom, Mia and Alex." I pointed to each of my friends in turn and they all gave a little wave before going back to their conversations. Mia was sat on Alex's knee, Deliah and Tom were deep in an argument but everynow and then he would tickle her and Dean and Lula were still acting all lovie dovie.

"So Eric how did you and Hail meet??" Lula asked. Eric stiffened beside me obvoiusly feeling nerves.

"We were both helping out in english today." He adventurely answered.

"Oh so you two must have a lot in common." Dean stated. I saw Leo glare at him out of the corner of my eye.

"Hail, you look beatiful today." Leo butted in making me blush. He turned to face me and Placed a hand on my now red and warm cheeks. I hate that I so easliy blush. He slowly leaned in towards me. Then he suddenly pulled away from me. Not this again. I decided I had to take control of the situation. 

I wrapped my arms round his neck and pulled him to me. I lightly brushed my lips to his before pulling away.

"Your not getting out of it this time." I whispered to him as we lent our foreheads together.

"Good." He stated before wrapping his arm round my waist. "Does this mean your finally my girl??" He asked the questin in a shy why which made him seem so cute that my heart felt as if it would melt.

"Umm let me think about that." I teased.

"Oi" He pocked me in the ribs and began tickling me.

"O..okay...haha..please....stop...hahah" I begged. He stopped and waite for an answer. "Ofcourse." I squeled at him.

"Yay Finally" I heard Lula scream. I giggled at her finally starting to feel happy. But my happiness was ruined my the bang of someones chair falling over. I looked over to Eric who was suddenly stood up looking more than sightly annoyed.

"Whats wrong Eric??" I asked him.

"I just remembered I have to be somewhere." And with that he stormed off out of the hall.

"Did that just really happen??" Mia asked.

"What was wrong with that total fitty that just walked away from this table??" I turned towards the vioce to see my friend carl standing their. He was an amazing person. I mean to be openly gay in our school was a hard thing. He had been bullied often but normally Leo, dean and the other boys from our group would beat up anyone who tried to cause him serious damage.

"I think he was totally jealous of Hailey." Deliah stated.

"Jealous of what?? Her geogous hair, her popularity, her amazing friends..."

"Of this" Leo said before pecking my cheek.

"Oh finally! I was so totally getting bored of seeing you guys flirt but do nothing about it." I slowly started to feel the blush return to my cheek. Things were good. But I wish I knew what was up with Eric. I mean I only just met him. It cant be that he is jealous, it must be something else.
