Mason's P.O.V
"Could I have a coffee to go, please?" The man stood in front of the counter asked me with a smile.

"Of course." I spoke, returning the smile. "That'll be $2.50" I finished.

He handed me the money and winked at me, making my cheeks heat up.

As I was handing him his change, I heard a familiar voice.

"Babe, you didn't tell me you were coming in today." I heard Justin say, I turned to look at him.

"You know I'm back at work for good." I spoke to him whilst handing the boy his coffee, he winked at me.

"Don't wink at my girlfriend, please." Justin gave the boy a death glare as he walked away, causing me to chuckled slightly.

"You need to tell me when you're coming in, I need to be with you." He spoke as he leant on the counter.

"Justin, I'm okay. Nothing's going to happen, and if it did, I'd let you know." I reassured him.

"But if I was here, I could prevent you from getting hurt again." He mumbled as he pleaded.

"Hey, I stood my ground." I spoke strongly. "Kinda." I finished quietly.

"I know you'd be able to, I just wanna make sure." He grabbed my hand from across the counter.

"So, what are you going to do? Get up early every morning to come to work with me?" I gave him a look.

"If I have to, yeah." He nodded.

"I don't want to you to have to do that. Besides, you can't get up early for shit." I shook my head at him.

"I can get up early when I want to." He defended himself.

"Yeah, maybe some days. But what about when you're out late drinking?" I looked at him. "I'd love to see it happen then." I said as grabbed a cloth and walked around the counter towards the tables.

"It will happen, have a little faith in me, okay?" Justin followed me.

I gasped lightly.

"Or, you could get a job here." I smirked as I raised my eyebrows at him.

"God, no." He rolled his eyes as he sat down at the table I was cleaning.

"And why not?" I gave him a look as I placed my hands on my hips.

"Because, why would I wanna work here? Nothing good would come out of it." He slumped in his chair.

"Oh, I see how it is. You think you're too good to work here." I spoke with a stern tone in my voice that Justin obviously wasn't catching onto.

"Just a little." He shrugged. "Moving on, you wanna have a movie night tonight?" He asked.

"No, thanks. Because clearly if I work here, you're too good for me, right?"

"What?" He looked at me with confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"You think you're too good for this job? I do this job, you must think you're too good for me." I rolled my eyes as I continued cleaning the table.

"Babe, no. You know that isn't what I meant. I just mean, this isn't for me. I don't want to work here." He exclaimed.

"You could have just said that." I sighed as I walked to the next table.

"I didn't mean it in that way. Unlike me, you have a job and that's great. I'm proud of you." He came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me.
