Violet and I walked back to Violet's house. There we could sit down and make a plan. We walked through the door into the little house, it wasn't much but it was cozy. We sat down at the dinner table and I grabbed paper and a pen.
"So we need a plan, how are we going to get back?" I said.
"How did your mom do it?" She asked.
"she used a dark curse, and you need to crush the heart of the thing you love most to activate it. And I can't do that." Violet looked at me, like she was figuring out who the thing I love most is. I guess she doesn't know that it is her... I mean I love my moms but that is a other kind of love. The love I feel for Violet is different this love is not because she is family, this is true I choose to love her.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked. I realised I was still staring while I was thinking about it all.
"Just .. just about how we are gonna get back, I guess we could check out merlins tower. He has a lot of magical stuff that may help."
"Yeah we can go there, I know the way." She stood up and I did the same. We walked through the door, when Violet stopped.
"We can take nicodemus. If... if you want to?" She didn't look at my face.
"Yeah sure.." I responded. We walked to the stables and she walked in, I waited outside. It took her a few minutes to get Nicodemus ready for a ride. When she finally came outside she had Nicodemus ready to go to Merlins tower. She went on first, she looked so pretty up there on the horse with the sun shining bright behind her. She held out her hand for me, I took it and climbed ontop of the horse. Behind her I wanted to put my arms around her for support so I wouldn't fall off. But I didn't.
"Ready?" She asked looking behind her so she could see me.
"As ready as I can be." I said. She kicked with her foot on the horse not hard but softly not really kicking. The horse started to walk slow at first then he started to walk faster and faster. We rode through the forest. My heart was beating harder and harder. She had the biggest smile on her face, she always has when she was riding. And she was so beautiful when she was smiling. I could already see the tower. I really hope we can find something there. Nicodemus started walking slower, and then he stopped. We where infront of Arthur's castle. It was huge!
"How are we going to get in?" Violet asked.
"Well, I think we just walk because I guess everyone gone. We haven't seen a soul." I said. I started walking and violet followed me, we walked through the gate, which was open. So I guess they really are all gone. Once we were in the castle we saw that they didn't all leave knowing that they were going to leave. There are full plates with food on the table. We walked to the stairs. I opened the door and a small cloud of dust came out. So merlins tower hasn't been used lately. I looked at Violet who looked a bit scared. I took a torch and lit it. She took my had and I shivered. We slowely walked up the stairs. It was pretty dark for such a light castle. After a long walk up I saw a wooden door. I grabbed the doornob and slowly opened the door. The door creaked loudly. I opened it further. A bright light came from the windows. I let my eyes adjust to the sunlight. Violet let go of my hand and she walked into the room. The tower was nothing what I had expected. I thought it would be bigger. And more magical looking. But it was just a plain old tower. Dust was everywhere. Which was kind of weird because my moms where here all the time trying to find a way to save merlin. Eventually I was the sulotion but that doesn't matter. It looked like nobody has been here for months maybe even years. I walked into the room and closed the door. Violet was looking through the book shelf.
"We might find some information in one of these books. "She said. Holding a book about Magic spells.
"Yeah, but one problem. I can't cast magic spells." I told her. You could she the hope falling away.
"But don't worry, we might find something else that is helpfull." I grabbed a book and sat down on a chair that stood in a corner. I started reading and reading and reading. It felt like hours, which it actually was. It was starting to get dark outside.
"Should we go back?" I asked violet.
"Yeah, we can stay at my home. I think we still have some food. She said. She layed the books down.
"Wait, we can take some books. Then we can still study at your place." I grabbed a few books and took a bag and put them in it. Violet also took some books and gave them to me. I put them in the bag. I grabbed a torch and lit it. We walked back down the stairs into the main room of the castle. Still no one to see. We walked outside to Nicodemus. She went on and so did I and we the horse started walking. We we're silent the whole way back to her house. Once there we got off of the horse and she put him in his stable. I waited outside. When she came back we went inside the house she went straight to the kitchen to look for food. I stood in the doorway. She looked around the cabins and took out a loaf of bread and a bag of beans.
"Is this okay? I don't have anything else." She said looking at the bread and beans and then at me.
"Yeah sure. Can you cook it? Because I can't." I said smiling. Trying to be funny but it didn't really sound all that funny.
"Yes, I can cook." She smiled back and then she grabbed a pot to put the beans in.
"Can I help with something?" I asked.
"No not really, you just go into the dinner room and sit at the table. It won't take long." She said. I walked out and grabbed one of the books and sat down. I opened it, this one was about the authors rights and what he can do and how the pen is crafted. I opend it on the page about the pen. And started reading. The authors pen is crafted form the magical life tree. This tree stands in the darkest part of the entchanted forest. Only the author itself can remake a magical pen. Once the pen is crafted you need the blood of a hero to make the ink.
"VIOLET!" I screamed.
"What?" She sounded shocked, she ran into the room with a knife in her hand.
"I HAVE THE SOLUTION! I know how to get home!"
