Ch 9: Ugh... Hormones

Roy POV

I woke up in the morning to Karry's smiling face in my face. I screamed as he gave me a big kiss on the cheek. "Karry, what is wrong with you?" I asked as I wiped his wet kiss off my face.

"I'll be in the kitchen so hurry up." Karry sang and skipped out of the room.

"What was that all about?" I asked Jackson, who was reading a book with his Rilakkuma in his lap.

"Kimberly agreed to be his girlfriend and he's over the moon about it." Jackson explained.

"That explains why he kissed me." I said, sticking out my tongue in disgust. "I'm going to wash this off." I headed to the bathroom and washed my face.

"Roy! Rinny is here for you!" Karry sang from downstairs.

Shoot. I forgot about the study session I was supposed to have with Rin. I quickly brushed my teeth and threw on some clothes before dashing out of the room.

"Roy! Your-" Jackson's voice got cut off by me slamming the door.

"I'm sorry I forgot!" I apologized immediately as I reached the kitchen.

Rin sat on the counter with a glass of orange juice in her hands. She raised an eyebrow at me. "Um, Roy, sorry to break it to you, but your shirt is showing more than you should." Rin said, checking her nails.

I looked down to see my button down shirt with the buttons all in the wrong button holes. I blushed a dark red and ran back up the stairs with Rin's laughter echoing behind me. Why is my heart fluttering? Why are my cheeks heating up? This is not what a childhood friend does to you.

I slammed the door behind me and slide down the wall. "Listen to me next time." Jackson said, his eyes never leaving his book.

"Jackson, why am I feeling nervous around Rin?" I asked as I re-button my shirt.

Jackson looked up from his book with wide eyes. "It's happening."

"What's happening?" I asked in confusion.

"Your hormones."

I raised an eyebrow. "The thing that the sex ed teacher keeps talking about right before I fall asleep?"

"You fall asleep during sex ed?" Jackson questioned.

"Yeah, it's not that important anyways." I shrugged. "Now I'll just-" I was about to leave the room but Jackson pulled me back and closed the door.

"I'm going to have to give you a class."

"-and that is where babies come from." Jackson finished.

I was rolled up into a ball on the ground, rocking myself to calm down. "Goodbye childhood..."

"You're going know that sooner or later." Jackson said with a roll of his eyes.

"Roy! What's taking you so long?" Rin's voice sounded outside. "I know you're an airhead but how long does it take you to button up a shirt. Even if it was sexy." She muttered the last part quietly.

My eyes widen. "Now I'm hearing things." I said, covering my ears with my hands.

"No you're not." Jackson said calmly. "She just said you're sexy, deal with it."

"No she didn't." I said with a pout. "Quit missing with me."

Jackson took out his phone and pressed 'play' on his voice recording app. "'Even if it was sexy.'"

"Quit it!" I shouted in frustration.

"'E- E- Even if it was sexy- sexy- sexy...'" Jackson was making a remix out of that. "I love this app." Jackson chuckled.

"Stop messing with me Jackson!" I shouted.

"Roy, I'm coming in." Rin said on the outside on the door. The door swing open and Rin looked down at me with a raised brow. "Why are you on the floor?"

I quickly stood up. "N- No reason." I shuttered.

Rin looked past me and saw Jackson with a calm expression and the chart he was showing me on how to make babies. "Why is Jackson here with that?"

Jackson calmly took the chart down and walked past me. "We were having gay sex." Jackson said coldly with a shrug. "Don't touch my Rilakkuma while I'm gone, Kay?" With that, he closed the door.

Rin looked back at me with a raised brow. "He was kidding, right?"

"Y- Yes, I'm not gay!" I shouted in protest.

"Fine." Rin sat down on my bed and took out her maths textbook. "Where do you want to start?"

"Um, chapter 7, algebraic expressions." I said, sitting down next to her.

"Well, the trick to this is..." Her voice sort of went fuzzy after that. I was staring at her and I can't stop. Her beautiful blonde curls rested perfectly on her shoulders, her big green eyes were enchanting, her pretty fair skin glowed under the light.

"Roy? Earth to Roy!" Rin yelled in my face. "What are you staring at?"

I snapped out of it and shook my head. "N- Nothing!"

"Repeat what I just said." Rin said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Um- I- Er- Well-" I shuttered but then sigh in defeat. "Okay, I wasn't listening."

"This is why you never pass the exams. Do you want to be held back another year?" Rin asked.

I want to hold her so badly. On instinct, I pounced on her and wrapped my arms around her. It feels so good, I want to hold her forever. I buried my face in her shoulder and inhaled her scent. Sweet with cinnamon, I love that scent.

"Um, Roy..."

I quickly pulled myself away from her. Rin was blushing and looking away from me. I just hugged, no, let me restate that, CLINGGED onto Rin, my childhood best friend. I just clingged onto her like my life depended on it. I scampered to the other side of the bed.

"Um, I- I'm sorry!" I apologized.

"You little..." Rin growled at me. She grabbed me by the collar and pulled me towards her roughly. "How dare you." Her voice was dangerously low, it sounded sexy.

No! What? No! I did not just say that!

"I- I'm sorr-" My apology was cut off by her smashing her lips onto mine.

I melted under her sweet chapped lips. What surprised me was I knew how to kiss back. It came so naturally. Our lips moved in sync with each other, and it turned me on. Rin licked at my bottom lip, asking for permission to enter. I pulled away before she did.

"Rin, I can't do this to you." I said, avoiding her eyes.

"Why-"

The door open before she could finish, revealing Jackson. "If you two are going to do something remember to clean up after and don't forget this." Jackson threw a piece of plastic towards me that made my cheeks burn up. "Bye." With that, he slammed the door.

"JACKSON!" I shouted.

Rin looked back at me. "Are you sure you didn't have gay sex with him?"

"NO!"
