Rian: Hi Luke! You're probably offline at the moment because it's like 12am there but hey, I hope you had fun yesterday at the prom! :)

Luke: Hi :-)

Rian: How are you?

Luke: Do you want me to be honest?

Rian: Yes please.

Luke: Ashley ditched me last night for something or someone else and I'm still upset about it. I mean, she could've said no in the first place, texted me a lie on how she can't come to the prom or be frank with me then it would hurt less you know?

Rian: Oh Luke :(

Rian: You don't deserve any of that okay! You're a nice guy and you deserve someone much better :)

Luke: Thank you, Rian. What about you? How's prom?

Rian: CHANGE TOPIC! Lol

Rian: I'm still pissed about what happened last night. He's a stupid excuse for a prom date lmao

Luke: WHAT HAPPENED OMG

Rian: My prom date turned out to be a frog than a prince (well technically, I already figured out that he's a frog so whatever)

Luke: No what I meant was that: what happened, really? And frog?

Rian: Yeah, frog. Like the princess and the frog? Yeah, that. Okay so alex (I'm not going to even capitalize his name because he doesn't deserve it lmao bye) was sooo nice at first and then we all sat at this table together with his friends and their prom dates and this girl started dissing my outfit like oKaY whO gAve YOu tHe RIght??? Anyway, the whole table was laughing and I was still all like "Okay lol whatever" and then alex just sat there, silently chuckling and did nothing. So I stood up and left because I can't stand breathing the same air as them lmao it's suffocating me and I'm lucky I'm still alive woop

Rian: That was awfully long soz

Luke: Oh Rian :-( You didn't deserve any of that okay! You deserve someone who would stand up for what he/she think is right. And honestly, I think that alex guy is a coward.

Rian: I think so too haha and thanks Luke, that means a lot :)

Rian: So..

Luke: So...

Rian: Is this a bad timing to ask you if we can FaceTime/Skype now?

Luke: wait

Luke: wHAT

Luke: RIAN WHAT

Luke: NO WAI T AR EYOU SERIOUS

Luke: REALLY????

Luke: OMG YAY

Luke: IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO HAPPEN

Luke: YES YE SYE SYES

Luke: IM GONNA MARK THIS DAY AS THE DAY WHERE WE FINALLY GOT TO FACETIME FOR THE FIRST TIME! :-D

Luke: OKAY OKAY UM WHO'S GONNA CALL?

Rian: ME HAHA

Rian called Luke's FaceTime email and while it was still ringing, she can't help but feel happy as her lips curled up into a smile because yes, this was finally it, she was finally going to hear and see the person that she almost considered as her other half, her brother and her internet bestfriend.

Once Rian snapped back to reality and noticed that Luke had accepted her call, the screen was a little blur for a moment before she heard some shuffling. She saw a little movement of the camera before it finally became steady and the camera finally faced Luke which Rian figured was him despite the dim light.

Neither one of them spoke a word and it was because neither one of them knew how the conversation should start nor what to even say to eachother for they slightly feared that the conversation would just die the minute the conversation was getting good.

It was just the both of them looking at eachother, trying to comprehend what was really happening.

Although Rian can't really see Luke's face for he was hiding under the bedsheet, covering half of his face.

"H-hi Rian." Luke said, his voice resulting into a muffled one because the bottom part of his face was still being covered under the bedsheet.

"Hi Luke." Rian said softly, giving him a small smile.

"We- uh, we're so awkward, I- I don't -" Luke cutted himself off which made Rian stifle a chuckle agreeing with his statement.

After that, Rian saw the camera move slightly and once the camera was finally stable, she finally got a look of Luke's face.

"Well," Rian started. "You're not a pedophile after all."

Luke groaned and rolled his eyes. "Not this conversation again. I still cringe everytime whenever I look back at our past conversations. I can't believe I was annoying. I mean, I know I'm annoying but I can't believe I was that annoying." Luke rambled on and Rian can't help but admire his accent, the way he spoke every word.

When Luke realized that he was rambling nervously, he began apologizing repeatedly until Rian finally decided to stop him from rambling on and on.

"Luke, Luke! Chill. You're not annoying, it's okay. Okay, maybe you were - but if it wasn't for you annoying me, we wouldn't be internet bestfriends right now so all's good." Rian said, waving his apologies away.

Luke sent Rian a look of doubt before hesitantly nodding.

"I can't believe I'm FaceTiming my bestfriend." Luke sighed happily.

"Yeah, I can't believe it either." Rian smiled as they both fell in again in a comfortable silence.

"So," Luke started. "Now that we have FaceTimed, does this mean we can meet eachother soon?"

"Yes!" Rian cheered and then paused. "Don't you mean if we meet?"

"No, no, when we meet. Whenever you say 'if', it's like you're doubting that it'll happen." Luke stated nonchalantly.

"Uhuh, sure. Anyway -"

"Rian! Who are you talking to?" Luke heard a voice in the background call, Rian immediately muttering profanities under her breath.

"I- I gotta go, Luke. Talk to you soon, bye and take care!" Before Luke can even protest, Rian had already hung up.

Rian: Sorry I had to cut our FaceTime call short. I had to deal with something here ugh

Luke: It's okay, I understand. There's always a next time right?

Rian: Right. Anyway, that was fun even though we're pretty awkward haha

Luke: Which part?

Rian: All of it, actually. I'm not even gonna lie.

Luke: Yeah, true. I guess first time internet bestfriend FaceTimes are pretty awkward, huh?

Rian: Yeah lol

Luke: I gotta sleep :-( good night rian! It was nice talking to you today and it was nice facetiming you. Have a great day ahead and i love you dude :-)

Rian: Aw, it's okay! Good night, Luke! Sweet dreams and i love you too, I'll talk to you soon :)
