34_Surprising_birthday

Jieun's POV

"Tae, are the balloons ready?" I asked while checking the list of things I had wrote down for the preparations.

"Almost done with them noona" Tae said and continued blowing the pink balloons with Hoseok oppa. 

Of course they'd be pink. It's for Jin's birthday after all. 

We were preparing a surprise party for him. They've been so busy lately that he might have forgotten about his own birthday. That's why the boys suggested celebrating it at my appartment in order to keep it as secret as possible.

"Okay, Jimin how's the cake going?"

"We're decorating it now" he answered while licking some whipped cream of his finger as Yoongi oppa was placing the candles on the cake.

Everything was almost ready for tonight. We just had to bring Jin here without him noticing anything.

Suddenly the door bell rang and we all stopped moving. Taken aback we rushed to take our positions and turned off the lights before opening the door thinking that it must be Jin.

"Surprise!" I shouted excitedly and the boys came out with the birthday cake while singing.

"Oh it's just you hyung" Kookie said and we quickly got everything as it was before.

"Yah don't look so disappointed to see me. I might not be the birthday boy but I have a heart too." Sunggyu said while pouting and entered the room followed by Sora.

These two have been spending lots of time together lately. Hmm...

"Namjoon will you bring Jin here?" I asked him and he nodded before putting on his jacket.

We were all waiting. Jimin and Yoongi resting on the couch, Tae with Hoseok messing around with the decorations, Jungkook giggling with Chohee, Sunggyu staring at Sora as she was already eating a chicken nugget unable to resist the temptation.

Even Jin's brother was here with his wife and kids.

Ah Young gave birth to a healthy little boy five months ago. He's so cute and the way Areum takes care of him is simply adorable. She has taken the role of the older sister so seriously.

Mom and dad couldn't make it here tonight because dad was feeling sick. Jin had told me that he's quite prone to catching colds especially during the winter. 

My room wasn't that spacious which literally brought us closer to each other. But nobody seemed to mind, they were all having fun and I was just waiting for my man to come starting to feel a little jealous just watching at the others having fun with their partner.

"They're here!" I whispered after seeing Jin's car parking in front of my house as I was standing by the window.

Seconds later I opened the door and jumped in Jin's arms.

"Happy birthday!" I said and tightened my grip.

He hugged me back after he took a moment to grasp the situation. I guess our surprise was a success. He burried his face into my neck and breathed in, making me shiver happily.

Jimin brought the cake with Yoongi oppa and we started singing the happy birthday song for the right person this time. Jin blew out the candles and everyone in the room congratulated him for turning 27.

The bell rang once again but this time we weren't expecting someone. We were all here.

"I'll get it" I said and went to open the door without wiping off the cream from my face, an impact from the little cake war that had taken place a few minutes earlier.

"Noona?" a familiar voice said and my eyes widened after I looked at the boy standing at my doorstep with tears staining his cheeks.

It can't be...

"Gu-" I tried speaking but it was all too much for me to take in and everithing went black before I lost consciousness.

A/N:

Happy birthday Kim Seokjin! Have you guys listened to his cover? Tears just made their way out without me realising it. His voice is just... ugh.

Oh and in my story everyone is older than in real life. So Jin is 27 and Jieun is 25. I just wanted to make it clear in case anyone felt confused.
