A/N: Dedicated to the person who helped me with the cover of my book and her friend. Thanks so much ^^
Jieun's POV
"Baby, are you ready? We have to leave now" I heard Jin say from the living room and started panicking.
I was in my bedroom still trying to figure out what's best to wear for tonight's dinner. I checked the time at my watch and realised it was still 5pm, too early to start our journey since it would take us about 2 hours to get to his parents' house.
"Isn't it a bit too early? We have to be there at nine as your mother said" I said while looking through my clothes in the wardrobe.
"It's better to arrive there earlier than planned. Mom will appreciate it a lot." he said and his words convinced me right away.
"Okay, but I'm still having trouble in choosing what to wear" I said and started to feel more nervous.
Jin chuckled after entering my room and seeing all the mess I had done. Clothes were lying almost everywhere. On my bed, on my desk and chair, even on the floor.
I kept searching when I felt Jin's strong arms wrap around my waist.
"Don't be nervous baby. I'm sure that you'll look wonderful tonight no matter what clothes you'll end up wearing. You are the one my parents will love and not your outfit." he said and managed to make me feel calm again.
It's like he has some kind of power that controls me, I swear.
"How about this one?" he asked when he spotted a dress among all the other clothes scattered on the bed.
My lips formed into a smile when I saw where he was pointing at. It was a blue dress with long sleeves which were made up from lace. How could I have forgotten about this. It was the last present I remember my dad giving me.
I kissed Jin on the cheek and shoved him out of the room right away to change, leaving him no chance to speak. We had no time to procrastinate after all.
After putting on the dress I stood in front of the mirror for a second and looked at my reflection.
"Dad, I can trust you on this, right?" I said in a low voice and smiled while thinking about what his reaction would be.
He'd probably be proud of his choice and boast about what a beautiful daughter he has.
As I was lost in my thoughts Jin sneaked inside the room and backhugged me once again. He really does that a lot, but I won't complain because I love the feeling of being embraced by my prince.
"You look beautiful" he said and we both looked at each other through the mirror.
"Thank you. You look handsome too"
He was wearing a grey turtleneck and deep blue jeans that suited him perfectly. His brown hair was covering his forehead only, letting his dark brown eyes free to capture you with just one look.
"But there's something missing" I said and reached for my purse. I took a pink hairpin and carefully placed it on the right side of his hair. "Now it's perfect" I said and we both laughed.
"Let's go" Jin said and held my hand tightly.
After about half an hour of driving we were almost out of city.
"Jin, I think we're going the wrong way. Shouldn't you have taken the left turn?" I asked since I was pretty sure that this wasn't the route we had to follow.
