I don't know what I'm feeling but

I know it makes me sleepy, that it

sometimes makes me draw the curtains

and let the phone keep ringing. It grabs at

my bare shoulders and pulls me closer and I can

feel the stale air move around as it whispers

into the quiet spaces of my mind.

I don't know what I'm feeling and that's

sometimes scarier than the bold moments

made by the clock hanging on the wall

telling me that I'm wasting more time.
